Chapter 192: He Can’t leave Me
"Fuck!!"
Zenith smashed a loud punch across the trunk of a giant cedar tree trunk, and the intensity of his strength was so fierce that the trunk was split from the middle.
As if instead of venting his anger out on innocent people like his usual self before, now Zenith had taken the route of channeling his anger towards other objects, and that cedar tree inside that thick mountain forest happened to be one among them.
On their first date, having such a disheartening failure with the lantern ritual that led to his argument with his beloved Kyle had already soiled his mood. Unable to trust his own temperament, Zenith had sneaked inside that forest, a bit far from the mountain shrine to calm himself down.
But it seemed as if his plan had backfired and instead of calming his nerves down, the haunting silence inside that forest around him wasn’t aligned with his inner conflicts, thus resulting in his anger to aggravate even more with every passing moment.
~ "What’s the use of venting your wrath by throwing tantrums, when you’ve brought everything on yourself now?" The deep gruff voice of his Alpha Supreme wolf Goliath inside him caused a sharp headache to grow at the back of his head, making Zenith exhale a big frustrated sigh.
He clenched his fist tight with nails digging deep into his palm which was still not completely healed from the scraped glass pieces dug into his skin from his fight with those gangsters at the hospital, before he scowled at his wolf, "Shut up, Goliath. Don’t even start with your lectures now when I am in such a shitty mood!"
~ "You don’t want to heed my words, because deep down inside you know I would be right in saying this. I had a hunch already that the ritual would fail for both of you...and look, exactly what happened! I knew it from the very start and I clearly warned you before as well. But still, you stubbornly let that innocent omega be part of your twisted world...and today, you made him distressed about the future. That’s all your fault!"
"Don’t fuckin’ blurt as if you know everything!" Gritting his jaws with the rage of a dominant Alpha fuming inside him, Zenith howled at his wolf, curling his fist tight as if he wanted to attack his own wolf for spilling those words he never wanted to acknowledge himself.
