Chapter 166: His Written Destiny
[FLASHBACK: 13 Years Ago]
Before Mr. Clark could figure out where Zenith was suddenly running off to, without wasting a second anymore Zenith sprinted to reach Vanessa who was quite far ahead from him by now, walking behind Dolemort.
The cold menacing voice that echoed in his ears about awakening a gifted ability inside his small body had made Zenith feel a surge of liberty from the fear of his father that had consumed his innocent soul until now.
Since the mountain shrine was located at a very high altitude, all those people climbed high, steep stairs to head inside the temple. A little behind him, Vanessa was also about to reach the entrance arch of the shrine where Dolemort had already arrived.
But before she could was about to finish climbing up, suddenly Zenith ran towards and pulled the lace of her gown from behind with a fierce yank! Just like that echo had stated inside his ears, his grip had become so strong that her entire body stumbled backward to fall down those stairs, just from one simple pull!
"AAAEEEKKKK!!"
Before falling by the back of her head, the last sight Vanessa had witnessed was a vicious smug carved on Zenith’s small pale face, which was shortly followed by her ear-piercing scream! The back of her head was split open from the crash, and rolling down the stairs, her belly had hit the stair edges almost more than 100 times!
Her fall was so abrupt that no one around them had witnessed it clearly, except Mr. Clark who was frozen from the sight! Covered in a pool of blood, her body was bruised blue when she rolled down the stairs to hit the ground, with her forehead split open, soaking her face with blood dripping down!
Immediately after hearing the scream, Dolemort was shocked and terrified at the sight of Vanessa’s bloodied body rolling down the stairs, as he rushed down towards her as fast as he could! Upon reaching her, he held her unconscious body tight in his embrace and shrieked in panic, "DOCTOR! BRING A DOCTOR HERE QUICK! I CAN’T LOSE MY CHILD! SOMEONE HELP HER, HURRY UP!!"
