Chapter 151: Rupert Godwin
The Godwin mansion was located at the Eastport town, which was also known as the twin city of Westport, at a distance of only 80 km. The owner of the mansion, Rupert Godwin, was also known as the ’Crime Lord’ of the city.
In his early 50s, handsome with a sharp facial feature, an intimidating aura, and dominant Alpha Rupert was the richest man in Eastport with countless business emporiums under his name, but everyone in the city knew most of his wealth belonged from the dirty money that came from the exploitation of sweat and blood of poor helpless people, mostly omegas, who were only set free after their death.
But no one dared to speak it over his face, fearing their tongue might be cut off brutally for speaking against the Crime Lord of the city.
Coincidentally, Dolemort and Rupert met each other in one of the country’s biggest investor meetings, and their quick encounter led them to become great rivals in the business world, despite having a cordial facade of friendship in front of the media outlets.
Even though both of them were considered the greatest in their own cities, no matter how much Rupert tried to expand his business, he could never defeat the stock prices and soaring business of Dolemort’s Lumina Pharmaceuticals, not once in the last 10 years.
But the desperation ultimately turned into Rupert’s lifetime goal to defeat Dolemort once and become the most successful business empire in the country. However, the dark truth that was hidden beneath his business growth was that most of his profits came from JW Company, the criminal loanshark organization that had gaslighted Marita for giving up her organs in exchange for money.
It was one of the policies set by JW’s Boss, Rupert himself, to target helpless omegas and convince them to give up their organs, bribing them with money. The smuggling of organs had always given him soaring high profits if the organs were taken from healthy persons. But they weren’t only limited to omegas for the business.
JW group was an organization made up of gangsters who were involved in kidnapping, murder, sexual abuse of minors, and many heinous crimes. But the police or laws could do nothing against them since they were backed up by the Crime Lord himself.
Just like Dolemort, Rupert also had created an intimidating aura about himself which served as a warning even to the police officers to never mess with him.
