Chapter 119: So, You’re The Bigshot?
Zenith’s menacing voice shuddered the Alpha doctor from shock, as he couldn’t help but quickly retreat a few steps back from him. His jaws were clenched, and even though he seemed to voice out his complaint, meeting his pitch-black dark eyes only scared the shit out of him, as he realized Zenith meant every word of the threat he has imposed on him!
"I-I will try my best to save her, so...y-you shouldn’t be doubting my skills either." Adjusting his glass rim, the doctor signaled a few nurses to come closer and had a quick discussion with them.
After they were finished, those young nurses rushed faster to proceed with Marita’s treatment, however, the doctor curtly mumbled at Zenith, "Also, I hope you would refrain from causing any trouble in here while waiting outside the chamber."
"Of course, we won’t cause any disruption in your work. So, please proceed ahead." Sensing the intense situation building between the two Alphas glowering at each other, Barnes stepped in between while offering a peaceful negotiation.
As soon as the doctor left, Zenith turned his gaze towards Barnes and growled at him angrily, "Why did the Mayor assign her with this shitty asshole? Call that damn Mayor right now and order him to change the doctor!"
"Young Master...please calm down." Cramped with all the stress piling inside him from the intense situation, Barnes tried to persuade him in a gentle cool voice, "He might seem like a cranky bastard but he’s the most skilled doctor to treat patients with weak heart and complicated conditions. That’s the reason he was assigned to this case...and I believe he will be able to help her get better—"
"OH, SO YOU’RE THE BIG SHOT HERE, HUH?"
Before Barnes could finish his sentence, a rude loud scowl from behind winced him hard, but the scary gaze in Zenith’s eyes darkened with it. He didn’t wince but turned around, majestically as ever to face the person who had dared to call him arrogantly there.
Granny Elma who was beside Zenith shuddered in shock to watch three giant men decked in black suits to arrive inside that hospital hallway. Paving their way, the bald guy belonging from that group of criminal loansharks had a prominent evil smirk fixated at Zenith, and seeming like the superior of those men, he approached Zenith in slow steady steps, "You seem like a young boy, eh? Are you the real big shot we came here finding, huh?"
"You...How dare you rascals come here too?" Granny Elma flared at that bald guy angrily and even walked to stand before him on the path he was heading toward Zenith.
But that devilish smug on his face widened when the bald guy fervently pushed Granny on the other side, making her fall down on the floor, hitting her back hard, "Ugh..."
