Chapter 408: Obtuse Michelle
Anastasia had intended to capture Mr. Steven alone, but Tracie had made her promise to bring her along on every mission. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Tracie thought she was on the verge of losing her mind—especially after she’d confessed to how she’d killed Mr. Russell. The look Tracie had given her then had been unmistakable, as if she were staring at a complete maniac.
Anastasia shook her head as she entered the hospital. It was still bustling with a few people.
"His office is on the fifth floor," said Anastasia.
Since Mr. Steven’s office was on one of the highest floors, knocking him unconscious and dragging him through the hospital would be too risky—they’d get caught no matter what. Instead, they decided to monitor him until his shift ended. The moment he stepped out of the hospital, they would strike. Timing was everything. They had to be quick and precise, ensuring no one would suspect a thing. The plan was simple: knock him out, get him into the car, and disappear before anyone could notice he was missing.
They took the elevator and arrived at the fifth floor.
However, as soon as they stepped out of the elevator, they sighted someone familiar passing by. Thankfully, the person didn’t stop to look at them as they froze stiffly there.
Tracie and Anastasia stepped out from the elevator, as they watched Michelle heading towards Mr. Steven’s office.
"What is she doing here?" Tracie asked, glaring at Michelle’s back. It’s been a long time since she’d seen the latter, and looking at her now tempted her to abduct her along with Mr. Steven.
"I have no idea," Anastasia mumbled.
Since this was the highest floor, less people were walking on this floor compared to the first and second floors. They watched as Michelle entered and instantly, they stepped towards the office.
