Chapter 328: Discreet Plan
Samantha’s grip on Anastasia surprisingly tightened.
"I know you must be thinking of ways to escape from here. But I would advise you to think twice about that."
Anastasia stiffened when she heard Samantha.
Anastasia felt a sickening churn in her stomach as Mr. Steven approached, a reminder of the trauma she had endured. The hope she’d held onto felt fragile now, eroding with every step he took closer. The irony of the situation gnawed at her; the very man who’d once hurt her was now in charge of testing her for any transmitted diseases.
Samantha pushed Anastasia down to take a seat.
Mr. Steven looked at Anastasia, sizing her up.
"Don’t be surprised she’d already contacted all the terrible diseases known to mankind,"
Mr. Steven joked but not even Samantha laughed at it.
Sighing, he took her arm and cleaned a spot with a spirit before injecting a syringe into her body without further warning, drawing out blood from her.
"The test result should come out in half an hour." With that being said, he left the office, taking the syringe along with him to get the test done.
Although Anastasia was seated and Samantha was right behind her, she could feel the latter’s gaze that made her skin crawl.
