Chapter 327: The Hospital
The very next day, Anastasia was woken up with a big bowl of cold water splashed on her body.
Out of fright, she jumped up, thinking they were under some kind of attack, or if her rescuers had arrived.
Anastasia blinked, disoriented, trying to shake off the remnants of her grogginess.
She opened her mouth to respond, but the words got stuck in her throat under the weight of Samantha’s piercing gaze, which seemed to hold an explosive fury, barely restrained.
Anastasia quickly wiped off the water on her face.
"I didn’t..." She drawled, trying to catch her breath. Her heart had nearly leaped out of her chest thinking she’d been drowning in her sleep. "I’m sorry," she quickly added, staring down at the huge bowl where the water had come from.
She began to wonder why Samantha had woken her up so aggressively. She immediately recalled she’d been in Samantha’s room the previous night, searching for the factory documents she would soon be transferred to.
Her heart threatened to leap out of her chest once again, but she quickly calmed herself down.
She was extremely careful last night and there were little to no chances that the CCTV cameras planted in the hallway spotted her. Besides, if Samantha had indeed found out about last night, she wouldn’t even be needing to wake her up. Anastasia would have been six feet under the ground without a doubt.
"Get dressed, we have somewhere to go," Samantha ordered.
A crease immediately formed around Anastasia’s eyebrows.
