Chapter 301: End Of Flashback
Xander demanded that Xavier be arrested immediately and he was. The officers dragged Xavier away, and Mr Wallace didn’t bother to stop them, his actions confusing Xander.
Arabella’s mother and father grieved the death of their child as they prepared to bury the girl.
Meanwhile, Xander was not satisfied with Xavier’s punishment. He believed the latter should also be in the same state as Arabella—dead.
"He needs to pay for all of these. Staying in jail is not enough to make him suffer," he said with a clenched fist. Bruce was seated in front of him, listening to his complaints with a mocking gaze that Xander couldn’t see. "I want Xavier to know what it feels like to lose someone very important to him like how he killed Arabella."
Bruce took a sip of his drink before he responded. "Xavier is out of jail."
"What?" Xander stared at Bruce with eyes widened in shock.
"Thomas released him from prison because he believed the boy was still innocent of the crimes he committed, and even if he was, he’d served enough punishment."
"But it’s only been two weeks since Xavier went to jail," Xander interjected, rage surging through his veins as he resisted the urge to slam the table at that moment. "It’s been two weeks since he killed Arabella and suddenly, father thinks Xavier has served enough punishment? That’s highly preposterous."
"You shouldn’t be surprised that Xavier is already out of jail, you know. That boy is your father’s favorite. Did you think Thomas would let his sweet little boy be in jail longer than that amount of time?" He asked Xander, who completely understood that his father didn’t care anymore if Xavier killed someone.
