Chapter 294: Met With Her
Now, Arabella was greatly offended by Mr. Wallace’s words and she didn’t intend on keeping quiet about it.
"Please sir, can you speak more politely to me? I may be a nobody but I’m still human. With no offense, you’re old, so I expect you to be wise enough to know you can’t just talk to anybody like that."
"What did you just say to me?" He questioned, glaring harder as if it was possible to make her disappear from his sight at that moment. "Didn’t your parents teach you some manners, girl?"
"My parents taught me pretty good manners. I can assure you of that. But they mentioned I should never let myself be stepped on by some reputable cocky old man," she responded, her hand folded around her chest as she returned his glare.
Now, Mr. Wallace is the one greatly offended by Arabella’s sharp tongue. He couldn’t help but see Xander in her. The boy also spoke back to him however he liked, forgetting he should respect him.
"I’m sorry if you feel offended by my words. I just don’t like it when people like you look down on people on me just because I come from a middle-class family. I and Xander are doing quite fine despite the different world we live in. And I understand as his father, you care about your son...."
If only Arabella knew Mr Wallace wasn’t there to care for his son. He only cared about his name and the wealth he had.
Mr Wallace was now fuming in rage, and he tried to contain it by releasing a long sigh.
"You’re together with him because of my money, I know that. I know that girls like you are always up to no good when you find yourself a rich boyfriend. You go ahead and start some kind of rumor in school, making everyone know you are dating a Wallace son...."
