Chapter 288: Regret!
Fiona’s cheeks were red in embarrassment as she glared down at Arabella. She tried to force her mouth open to say something but no words were willing to fly out.
So, all she could do was clench her fist and gnash her teeth together.
"I didn’t tell Xander about that text because I wasn’t sure who sent it," Arabella said, her voice calm but laced with a hint of menace. "But now that I know it was you, I’m thinking about telling him. I wonder what he’ll think of you when I do." She sighed theatrically, tapping her chin as if deep in thought, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
"You wouldn’t..."
"Now, don’t you dare me because I actually can—"
Arabella was interrupted from completing her sentence when she heard a commotion coming from the soccer teams playing.
It turned out that both the teams were fighting each other.
Xander grabbed the shirt of the opposing team member—the same one who’d pulled his clothes, trying to get him away from the ball earlier—with a firm grip that forced the fabric to thin out before ripping into shreds.
"You’ve gone mad!!" Xander accused, his grip still tightened on the jersey of the boy. "I never kicked you and now you’re blaming me for falling?"
Each team member tried to separate them before a bigger fight occurred.
The referee blew the whistle several times to give them a warning but they paid him deaf ears.
