Chapter 286: Scored A Goal
It was finally the day of the Annual Sports Competition.
Students from several nearby schools had begun filling the stadium, excitement buzzing in the air as the competition was about to kick off. Soccer, basketball, tennis, and other sports were on the agenda, each team eager to claim victory. The ultimate prize? A trophy that would bring pride back to their school, and the chance to stand out as the best among their rivals.
Xander and Xavier were in soccer together.
Xander tried to convince their coach that he could change sports since he didn’t want to play in the team as Xavier.
Unfortunately for him, the coach rejected his request.
"Xander, you’re one of our best players—I can’t afford to lose you," the coach said, his voice tight with urgency. "If you walk away now, I’ve got no one who can step up and fill your spot. If you’d told me earlier, I might’ve found a solution, but right now, we’re stuck."
Xander hissed under his breath as his eyes caught Xavier trotting towards them.
"It’s no problem," Xander said as he excused himself before Xavier would speak to him.
However, Xavier pulled him back.
"Paul said you wanted to pull out from our team. I suppose that’s what you were discussing with the coach, right?" Xavier questioned.
Xander glared at Paul who was with their other team. When the latter made eye contact with Xander, he revealed a terrified smile.
