Chapter 265: Meet Up!

Xavier stepped out of the hideout which they had just infiltrated. His men and female helpers assisted the girls they’d saved into the van, handing them some blankets and hot tea to protect them from catching the night cold.
"We’ve searched the whole building, and that’s all the girls," Kace said as he came to where Xavier was standing, his grip on his gun. "I also questioned the men, but they said Xander has not contacted them for the past two months," he added.
Kace took a few steps away from Xavier when he noticed the latter only kept silent. Xavier had been like a ticking time bomb for the past two months, and no one knew when or how he was going to explode.
"We’ll find her soon, Xavier," Kace said as a way of reassurance, although he wasn’t sure if they would be able to.
For the past two months, they’d infiltrated at least half of the human trafficking ring they could find but still, they couldn’t find Anastasia. And for the past two months, there has been no trade so far.
"We will," Xavier finally replied. He was not willing to give up on the love of his life just because of the greed for revenge from his twin brother who’d refused to let the past go. "We’ll find her," he repeated, his expression stoic but Kace could sense he wasn’t giving up.
Xavier suddenly received a call on his traceable phone. After smacking his previous one on Tracie’s car the day of the accident, he decided to get another one because he was sure Xander would give him a call to taunt him later for his inability to protect his wife.
"Hello, my dear sweet brother!" He heard Xander sing from the other side of the phone, his tone filled with enthusiasm and there was only one reason for that. "You still haven’t found Anastasia, right?" Xander cackled at the end of his words, which only made Xavier’s blood boil. Hard. But he kept it all together.
