Chapter 247: She Knows
At the Perez mansion, Viviana was eating dinner with her family. Her mother glared at her father with a side-eye.
Her father acted nonchalantly and was still digging into his food. That was how her family had been.
Her younger brother who was still in middle school couldn’t care less. He only focused on his studies and didn’t give a damn if the family broke apart after what their father had done.
"I’m going to study," Nathan said, pushing back his chair, stood up, and left without another word.
"You see what you’ve turned this family into?" Mrs Perez questioned Theodore with an evident scowl on her face. "The child doesn’t talk much anymore. It’s always study and study. He’s trying to occupy his head so he can’t think of what’s happening to us."
"Isn’t that a good thing that he focused on his studies?" Theodore questioned back.
"You’re unbelievable. You don’t even sound sorry for what you did," Mrs. Perez spat, rage evident on her face now.
Out of irritation, Theodore dropped his fork which made a loud clicking sound in the dining room.
"That was many months ago. And Michelle ran away or disappeared. We don’t even know what happened to her. You need to let things go," he said, shrugging as if cheating on his wife wasn’t a big deal which only fueled his wife’s anger.
"You have some nerve to demand forgiveness. You got that bitch pregnant for goodness sake!"
"And she lost the child..." Theodore interjected.
