Chapter 224: Miscarriage
"Don’t blame me for your bad deeds, Michelle. You’re the one who did all of this, all by yourself. All I did was watch from a corner and wait for when to expose you."
Michelle tried to act tough by suppressing the tears that wanted to spill from her eyes. Unfortunately, they still found ways to somehow escape.
"You’re so carefree, Michelle. You thought I would let you go, just like that, and wouldn’t keep you on supervision?" Anastasia questioned with a tone of mockery. "Maybe, if you’d been careful, things would have turned better for you. Who knows, I might have changed my mind since I didn’t even win the Best Actress award. But then, you had to sell your body just for some recognition?" Anastasia tsked in disappointment after her last word.
Michelle’s chest started heaving again as she tried to breathe through her tears.
"You know nothing!!" Michelle barked. "You’re going to pay for all of these, I’m telling you. You will pay," she promised.
"Not before you pay first."
Both Michelle and Anastasia turned their heads to find Tracie, clad in her usual dark outfit, her hands in her pocket as she glared at Michelle, who was already starting to shiver due to her presence.
"T-Tracie Clark...you must h-have misheard—"
"Shut up!" Tracie demanded, strodding over to Anastasia and checking to see if the latter was hurt. "Have you forgotten your deal with her? Since you didn’t win, you are going to have to go to jail to pay for your sins. Hopeful they serve holy water there so that you can finally be cleansed."
"She took everything away from me!" Michelle snapped, unable to handle the fact that Anastasia always had people who would protect her wherever she was.
First, it was Xavier, then her fans, and now, even the Clark family were involved.
