The event was filled with happy claps all for Martha. Anastasia immediately enveloped Martha in a huge congratulatory hug, patting her ever so lightly on the back as the latter burst out in tears, unable to believe her ears.
"Congrats Martha!"
"I love you so much, Martha!"
"You deserve more wins, Martha!!"
"You’re the best!!"
Several congratulatory wishes filled the air as Martha walked down the stairs, heading towards the stage to collect her award.
"Thank you so much, everyone! This is my second Best Actress award in the past five years. Of course, I wouldn’t be able to do it without the support of my fans and friends. So, thank you so much, everyone. This means a lot to me," she said, tears streaming down her face like water.
Anastasia couldn’t help but wonder if that was how she looked in other people’s eyes when she’d collected her award the previous year.
However, instead of sitting and waiting for Martha to come back to her seat, Anastasia waited for her at the edge of the stage, helped Martha down, and wiped her tears for her, while making sure she didn’t ruin her makeup.
"You did great, I’m proud of you!" She said, hugging Martha once more.
Sensible paparazzi were permitted into the hall to give both Anastasia and Martha an interview, questioning how they felt about Michelle’s outburst which they responded to smartly.
