At a different event center, much bigger and more beautiful than the previous ones, people were swarming like animals. Paparazzi were trying to get the pictures of celebrities and interview them with the littlest time they had.
Celebrities wore beautiful attires that shone under the huge classy chandelier that illuminated gold light—making the entire hall look enchanted and breathtaking.
Anastasia walked in with her hand linked with Martha’s as they strode into the hall, a huge smile playing on their lips as they greeted producers and directors, together with entertainment CEOs who had an interest in signing them up for a movie.
"And just like that, today is the award show again. Time flies by when you’re enjoying yourself," Martha mumbled under her breath, her gaze shifting from one place to another.
"Indeed it does," Anastasia readily agreed, her eyes scanning the crowd—searching for a particular someone. When she sighted the person, her smile broadened. "And I can’t wait for the show to start already."
Martha—not understanding Ana’s underlying meaning—innocently hummed in response as they both continued to interact with several celebrities.
The award show was rescheduled to take place a month earlier than originally planned due to a surge in killings across nearby cities. The heightened danger had prompted organizers to move up the event, prioritizing the safety of attendees traveling from those affected areas.
