Chapter 211: Pay Back
"Remember everything I told you?" Kace asked Allison one more time and she nodded in understanding, her eyes red and face pale from crying so much over the nights that had passed.
"I do," she responded, her voice hoarse but still audible.
Kace’s gaze softened further, wishing he could envelop her in a warm hug. Without thinking, he did what he wanted to do, wrapping his arms around her and making sure there was no space between them—nearly making her his second skin.
Shocked, Allison reciprocated the gesture by wrapping her arms around him also, feeling warmth spread around her heart, at the same time making it race when his cologne flooded her nostrils.
"I will be waiting outside. If you need help..." kace trailed off, reluctantly releasing her from the hug and placing her object on her wrists. "Just tap on this wristwatch and I will come barging in." He buckled the wristwatch—similar to the one he gave to Anastasia when she went to the Harrison mansion the first time with a new identity—around her wrist and held her fragile hand.
Allison nodded one last time. Together, they left his house, entered the car, and headed towards Derek’s home.
When they arrived, Kace reminded Allison of his earlier instructions, ensuring she memorized them all before she stepped down from the car. His eyes strained on her until she disappeared into the house Derek lived with his parents.
According to Allison, Derek was an only child and his parents weren’t home since Derek himself asked for the both of them to meet. Therefore, Kace took it as an opportunity to hack into his devices and have the sex tape deleted permanently.
Derek’s parents had no helpers around, and Kace feared if something went wrong, Allison would be alone in the house with him. He’d already witnessed how he mistreated her.
