Chapter 203: Richard’s Mistake
"What are the both of you talking about?" Tracie suddenly asked the both of them, making them flinch since they didn’t expect she could have heard them.
"We weren’t saying anything," Anastasia immediately defended. Tracie narrowed her eyes at her before stepping to the opposite couch as she scrolled through her phone.
When Anastasia felt pressed, she excused herself to go to the restroom. It was her room Nora had designed for her in case she wanted to spend the holidays with them in the next few months.
Just when she stepped out of the bathroom, she sighted Richard in the room, staring at her—rather sizing her up with an aggravated look as he moved his hand across his hair.
Anastasia decided to ignore him and go her own way.
Just when she was about to step out of the room, he pulled her back inside and closed the doors.
"Let me go!" she demanded, her eyes blazing with fury as she shot daggers at him. "Have you forgotten we’re in the Clark mansion? Or perhaps you’d prefer I scream and get that tongue of yours chopped off this time," she threatened, her voice cold and filled with venom. She wasn’t playing games, and the intensity in her eyes made it clear she was ready to follow through on her words.
Richard squinted his eyes at her, tilting his head to the side as if he was studying an art, a smirk pulled up on his lips.
"You’ve outgrown your wings so much you’ve forgotten how I used to handle you in the past. Do you want me to remind you?" He questioned, his tone sharp but Anastasia stared back at him, completely unfazed.
