"I also want to change something important in this company. The name..." A big frown settled on their faces as they waited for her to continue. "I want to rename the Harrison Company to Xastia Company."
"What sort of nonsense is that?" Rudy questioned Anastasia. "This company has been named the Harrison Company for ages, even before you were born. You can’t possibly change the name just because you want to. You are still Robert’s daughter!"
Anastasia sighed, feeling utter disgust when Rudy called her Robert’s daughter.
"Sorry to burst your bubbles, but I’m not Robert’s biological child. I’m not a member of the Harrison family. My real name is Ava Clark, the missing daughter of the Clark family, but I go by the name Anastasia Wallace since I’m married to the first son of the Wallace family."
Different kinds of murmurs immediately filled the room, as everyone tried to digest the bomb Anastasia had just dropped.
They were all aware she was posing as Selene Jones all these while since she’d revealed it on social media, but as Ava Clark, the long-lost daughter of the Clark family...it was too much to believe.
Ruby, who’d been running her mouth since Anastasia walked in, suddenly grew silent, and so did Logan and the others who wanted to go against her.
They had wanted to accuse her of lying, but they knew they would be digging their own grave if that was the case.
Besides, the Clark family would have already handled her if they knew there was someone out there claiming to be their long-lost daughter.
"Any questions?" Anastasia asked, driving them out of their thoughts.
They were still embarrassed to let a young female be the CEO, especially Rudy. However, she clamped her mouth so tightly, that she couldn’t loosen it up anymore to speak.
