Chapter 167: Make-Up Plans
A few days later, Selene resumed her role in Shadows Of Deception Her colleagues greeted her with well-wishes, flowers, and gossip about Michelle’s mishap at the award show. Then questions of who had tried to kill her were raised as well.
But Selene pretended she had no idea who it could be—she wondered with them.
Her upcoming scenes which included a few stunts would be performed by a stunt double since her belly injury hadn’t healed completely.
Selene walked towards her makeup room and found Natalie and Allison waiting for her as usual. Allison looked more tired than usual.
"Are you alright, Allison? You look tired. Do you want to go home and rest?" Selene asked her with concern laced in her tone.
"No need, ma’am. I’m alright. A little tired but I’m fine," replied Allison.
Internally, she cursed Kace for wearing her out. It had only been a few days since the accident at the university, and she was finding it difficult to keep up with his demands.
She feared one day, she was going to strangle him to death.
Selene regarded Allison for a few seconds and the latter added, "When you are done with your scene, I will go home and rest." It was a lie since Kace already texted her to come to his place right after.
Selene nodded in agreement and took her seat in front of the vanity mirror.
Natalie and Allison began their work. Natalie brought out Selene’s clothes which she would change into according to the director, while Allison picked up the foundation from the vanity mirror.
