Chapter 166: You Will Take Care Of Me
From the corners of Allison’s eyes, she saw Olivia storming out of the hallway before she slammed the door shut.
On the bed was Kace, already changed out of his casual clothing to what looked like a hospital gown.
"Are you going to continue staring at me like that without saying a word?" He asked her with a faint smile on his lips.
’How can he smile like that when he’s injured,’ she wondered but didn’t dare to voice out her thoughts.
"Come take a seat." He tapped the side of the bed, urging her to take a seat beside him.
Allison walked forward, but instead of sitting on the bed, she took a seat on the couch opposite the bed.
Kace pouted his lips in disappointment.
"What did the doctor say?" She asked him.
He stared at her for a few seconds, silently urging her to take a seat on the bed instead, but Allison simply stared at him, waiting for him to speak.
Sighing in defeat, he parted his lips to speak, "I broke a few ribs, and won’t be recovering anytime soon."
Allison stared at him, overwhelmed by a wave of guilt. If he hadn’t shielded her from the falling pole, he wouldn’t have sustained any broken bones.
