Chapter 168: Some things do change
When Kellen showed up to the gym about half an hour later then he normally would, slightly dazed, and met Brent’s gaze, he had a fucking look on his face. He held it together through their first set, but when they took a brief water break, he let it loose.
"So...no longer Kellen the celibate?’ He asked, and Kellen thanked a higher power that he wasn’t drinking water at the moment of his question. Kellen took a moment to gather himself, shaking his head before he sighed, glancing at the damn sparkling green eyes on him, and smirked.
"Hate to break it to you, but we haven’t had sex." Brent’s eyes went wide, and at first, Kellen thought it was because he confirmed he was still a virgin.
"Oh my god, you just called it sex. You didn’t-I honestly didn’t expect this kind of development." What the hell did that mean? Why was he reacting this way?
"Brent, what the hell are you on about?" Kellen asked, and Brent grinned. He leaned against the bar of the bench press they had been using and took a sip of the water bottle he had been using.
"Kellen, you used to blush like a virgin and call it intimate skin relations or some shit like that. You wouldn’t even call it sex unless really pressed about it. For years I had to pussy foot around talking about it. Blew my mind, since you were the picture perfect Guide on the outside, but so fucking innocent on the inside." He gestured broadly. "But anything else related to it, you had no problems discussing. If I discussed eating a man out, not a problem. You just always never said the word sex." Kellen blinked, stunned he’d noticed something like that about Kellen that Kellen hadn’t realised himself.
"Oh. I had no idea." He muttered, and Brent laughed. His hand smacked Kellen’s shoulder before he clasped onto it and gave Kellen a shake.
"Why the fuck would you? I’m the horny pervert between the two of us, you clearly didn’t give a fuck about it. Get it, give a fuck?" Kellen rolled his eyes as Brent laughed. "It also didn’t impact anything. I’m just surprised at this development. I fully expected you to be like, ’no, the Captain and I didn’t go the whole way’ or some shit." Kellen felt his face flush as Brent attempted to fake his voice.
"I wouldn’t say it like that." Kellen protested and Brent laughed as Kellen shook off his hand.
