Chapter 167: An early morning breakfast (m)
An alarm going off woke Kellen from his soft, warm dream. Groaning, he stretched, his arms and hands hitting warm flesh.
Confused, he paused, momentarily surprised before yesterday came flooding back to him. The photo shoot, the Captain’s angry face, tea with Taylor, calling him Rhys for the first time in public, their date and the night after. Feeling his whole body heat, he covered his face with his arm and sighed. Fuck.
The arm around his chest tightened, flipping him over and pulling him back against the broad chest now behind him. Lips touched Kellen’s skin, before a rough, grumbly voice spoke near his ear.
"What is that alarm for?" Kellen froze. Why had he not heard this rough, sleepy voice before now? Blood pumped through his body, and he felt himself get hard. The instant reaction to the sound of his voice made Kellen want to tremble. He wasn’t sure if this reaction was simply because it was the morning, or if it was because it was the Captain.
"I-It’s my alarm to get up and work out." The alarm was still going, and Kellen fumbled around, trying to find his phone. He found it on the nightstand by his head, managing to silence it quickly. He didn’t remember grabbing it last night. Strange. Rhys’ arm tightened around him again and he shifted, pressing his lips against Kellen’s skin in a gentle assault to his senses.
"Mmm, I have a better way you could work out and still sleep in." Flushing at his words, Kellen glanced behind him to find the eyes of an Esper staring right back at him. Kellen swallowed. His words were filled with the haze of someone who had just woken up but his eyes...
Yesterday hadn’t been enough for him at all.
And if Kellen was honest with himself, it hadn’t been enough for him either.
Kellen swallowed, before he reached out his hand and touched Rhys’ cheek. He leaned into the touch, before pressing his lips against his palm. At first, it was endearing, until his teeth and tongue got involved.
