Chapter 153: One More Thing
Inside the hospital, a figure lay gently on the bed, clothed in a standard hospital gown. Her body shifted slightly, and she clutched her head with a soft groan—dizzy, disoriented. She tried to calm herself. Calm... calm... calm... As if the repetition alone could ease the throbbing in her head the IV drip attached to her hand swaying slightly with every little motion.
Zylan.
That name alone had always been enough to calm her. As she moved, the fog in her mind began to clear...
Naomi sat up abruptly on the hospital bed, her eyes scanning the unfamiliar room. Just then, a woman entered with a warm smile—likely a doctor.
"Mrs. Naomi, how are you feeling right now?" she asked gently.
Naomi tried to respond, but her throat felt dry. The woman noticed and quickly bowed her head respectfully before walking over to the cupboard. She retrieved a water bottle and handed it to Naomi, who took it gratefully and drank deeply.
"Ms. Naomi, if I may ask, how are you feeling now?"
Naomi turned her head slightly, her voice soft. "My head still feels a bit dizzy. When I woke up, my vision was a little blurry," she explained quietly.
The woman nodded, jotting something down before speaking again, just as gently. "Ms. Naomi, you’re going to be okay. I’d like you to drink plenty of water and eat some fruit. Your assistant, Mrs. Rhea, will bring you some fruits and vegetables soon. For your health—and for yourself—please make sure to eat well."
Naomi nodded. That wasn’t a problem.
"Thank you for understanding, Ms. Naomi. I’ll be back with more information shortly," the lady added before stepping out.
