Chaos and Order - A Multiverse Fanfic

Chapter 1112: Sousuke Aizen in Harry Potter Bubble...

Daphne, standing inside the yellow, translucent walls along with her two assigned individuals, looked up, her gaze landing on the sky through the gaps in the forest’s canopy.

Outside the translucent walls, three armed soldiers looked at Alakazam, the psychic Pokemon, who had just blocked successive fire, letting his Master pass the first stage of the Intercontinental Tournament.

Daphne couldn’t have cared less about the Tournament, though.

Her heart was beating inside her chest with a wild, unnatural rhythm as she saw the triangular ship in the sky, with the Death Star in the background.

Just what was happening to their world?

Just what kind of enemies were they facing?

At least, they knew what the Dark Alliance stood for and who the Yellow Warlock was.

What about these... spaceships, lingering outside their planet like silent, flashy ghosts?! Why wasn’t anyone telling them what they were and what they intended to do with them?! How could they fight in the coming war, with such an unknown threat looming over their heads... constantly?!

Worse, even Lord Black Phoenix hadn’t told them anything.

Not even to Darcie; otherwise, she would have definitely shared it with her.

Thud!

Suddenly, the first-year and Muggle assigned to her fell.

Outside the translucent box created by Alakazam, the soldiers fell.

Daphne Greengrass blinked, her face going blank, as she snapped her head down and looked at these people.

If it had been before, she would have panicked, losing her wits because of this sight.

However, because of battle workshops, and after that night, Daphne had learned to make her peace with things taking a sudden, terrifying turn, training herself to remain calm.

Despite that, her fingers clenched tightly around her wand, the Grimoire suspended above her head oozing a thicker, black smoke.

Was it an attack from a magical creature in the Forbidden Forest?

If it was, then there was no way Alakazam wouldn’t have reacted to this foreign presence.

Was this related to the triangular ship that had appeared in the sky only moments ago?

If it was, then why did only the people around her fall unconscious, and not her and her Pokemon?

Then, what was...

The hair on the back of Daphne’s neck stood up.

Daphne snapped her head over her shoulder, her body following with a lag.

Someone was standing there, beyond the yellow, translucent wall. It was a man wearing a long, white greatcoat, square glasses resting in front of his eyes. Slowly, he stepped forward and... entered the yellow box created by Alakazam.

Daphne’s breathing quickened.

She looked back and found the Pokemon standing utterly still as if... as if it were a statue; something that had never been alive.

"Hmm..."

Daphne gulped and let her gaze return to the man.

He was looking down at her feet, making her step back involuntarily.

For a moment, just for a moment, Daphne felt like raising her wand to cast a spell. But, in the very next moment, a thought bubbled in her mind, telling her that it would be futile. No matter what she did, it would be utterly futile.

"Who... are you?" Daphne asked.

The man ignored her very existence, though, and continued to look at and around her feet. Then, nodding to himself, he looked up. Even then, he didn’t look at her, but at Alakazam beyond her.

"Don’t..." Daphne managed to voice out some words, feeling suffocated for unknown reasons. "Don’t... harm Alakazam."

For the first time, the man looked at her... as if looking not at a person, but... an object.

In the very next instant, he vanished, Daphne falling to her knees under the mountainous, suffocating pressure.

The yellow, translucent walls vanished.

While gasping, Daphne snapped her head behind, and her eyes widened in shock, concern, and loss... not seeing Alakazam anywhere.

...

Lord Voldemort stared at the man who had appeared out of nowhere.

In his square glasses, the Dark Lord could see his reflection... a reflection displaying his terrifying shock.

The man continued to observe the blood protrusion in the middle of Voldemort’s chest, while he... he couldn’t move, speak, blink, or even think. All he could do was look back at this man, getting angrier at the sudden arrival of this helplessness.

The man’s eyes narrowed.

He lifted his hand and traced a finger down the length of the blood protrusion.

"Marvelous..." the white-robed man praised. "... Someone’s playing a looooooong game, huh?"

Then, just as ghostly as the man had appeared, he vanished.

The man did leave behind a raging Voldemort, thick bolts of black-green lightning slithering out of him, destroying everything.

...

Daphne wasn’t the first person Inquisitor Sousuke Aizen visited.

Nor had Voldemort been the last person to see him.

Harry had seen him, too, the silent, expressionless woman coughing blood when he disappeared. Ron’s Mecha Eye had gone blind from gazing upon him. Draco, who had already apparated directly to the checkpoint, uncaring of the Muggle assigned to him, had seen the man, too.

Sousuke Aizen lingered near Darcie for the longest time, but didn’t reveal himself either to the girl or to the 12th Floor Contestant feeding on the girl’s luck.

He did reveal himself to the group of Contestants being hunted by two House-elves, shocking the living breath out of them.

By the time Arlen Black saw him, Sousuke Aizen had already confirmed most of his doubts and theories, without even formally beginning the trial.

The Hogwarts student looked at the Inquisitor as the Storyline Character, who had surpassed his timeline, stepping above an 18th Floor Contestant’s strength, looked back at him.

Letting out a sigh, the Faceless dropped his mask.

Flesh squirmed and, in the next instant, Black, wearing a black jacket and jeans, was standing in the boy’s place, meeting Sousuke Aizen’s eye level.

Then, he bowed.

"Welcome to the Harry Potter Bubble, Your Majesty," Black greeted. "If I had known you would be arriving so early, I would have..."

"Hidden your schemes better?" Aizen asked, intervening.

Black straightened up. "No," he said, shaking his head. "I would have removed that unsightly thing in the sky from your path."

And, at that, Aizen couldn’t help but smile.

"One week..." the Inquisitor said, blurring. "... Prepare your defense, Son of Storm."
