Having just arrived in Jiuchuan County, Huang Feiming wasted no time in ordering Wang Yuanbo to capture Ye Qing. He believed that Ye Qing had kidnapped Zhou Hongbin and enlisted Wu Anping to detain Wu Jianbing and Zhou Hongbin, which was essentially a provocation towards the police department. Hence, he wanted to arrest Ye Qing first as a punitive measure and also to show Wu Anping who was in charge.
For Wang Yuanbo, it was Huang Feiming's command and none of his concern; he was more than happy to sit back and watch the drama unfold. Moreover, he saw this as an opportunity to show Wu Anping that the police department was not to be trifled with.
Not long after Ye Qing had been brought in, Wang Yuanbo was on the phone with Huang Feiming. From Huang Feiming's tone, he learned that Huang Feiming had suffered a setback at Wu Anping's hands and was quite irate, his speech filled with curses.
Wang Yuanbo couldn't help but feel some schadenfreude; with Huang Feiming this angry, he guessed that Wu Anping would not have an easy time in the future. Upon receiving Wang Yuanbo's order, Chen Guoxin quickly left to gather his team to conduct the arrests at the hospital. While they were not yet gone, a Toyota Land Cruiser drove into the yard, and Xu Changzhi arrived with two women.
Having learned of Ye Qing's arrest, Xu Changzhi rushed here intending to meet Ye Qing and assess if there was any chance of turning the situation around. After parking the vehicle, he immediately entered the lobby and started inquiring about Ye Qing's status at the reception.
Chen Guoxin just happened to pass by and heard someone asking about Ye Qing, so he turned to look. He sized up Xu Changzhi and frowned.
Although Xu Canjun's family upbringing was strict, Xu Changzhi, having been born into such a family, had always encountered people who treated him with caution. Thus, over time, he developed a somewhat arrogant demeanor. Seeing Chen Guoxin looking at him, he merely glanced at Chen Guoxin.
This glance infuriated Chen Guoxin, as he felt Xu Changzhi's gaze was too arrogant.
"Are you looking for Ye Qing?" Chen Guoxin walked up to Xu Changzhi and asked gravely, "Who are you to Ye Qing?"
"I'm his friend. I would like to see him!" Xu Changzhi said.
"Want to see him? Do you know what crime Ye Qing has committed?" Chen Guoxin glared and said, "He kidnapped our Jiuchuan County police department's deputy chief, snatched a gun, assaulted police officers, and stole a police car. He's a major criminal. Do you think just anyone can see him whenever they want?"
Xu Changzhi frowned slightly, unaware that Ye Qing had committed so many acts. However, why didn't this police officer mention the massacre? Could it be that they still lacked sufficient evidence? This was even better. As long as the police had no evidence, there was still a chance for the case!
Xu Changzhi said, "According to our country's laws, no matter the crime committed, before a court convicts him, he has the right to be visited. Moreover, even after a conviction and a transfer to prison, visits are allowed. So why can't the police station allow visits?"
"Hey, are you arguing with me?" Chen Guoxin snapped, glaring, "This is a police station. If I say no visits, then no visits are allowed. What are all these excuses for? Are you questioning the way our police operate?"
Xu Changzhi bluntly replied, "I'm not questioning, I'm accusing!"

Xu Changzhi frowned and responded, "If what you're doing is wrong, then I can accuse you. You are people's police, serving the people, humbly accepting the people's criticism and suggestions. That's the mission. Why can't I accuse you?"
Chen Guoxin, taken aback by Xu Changzhi's eloquence and finding himself at a loss for words, grew even angrier and waved dismissively, "Mission or no mission, let me tell you, those missions are meant for the people, not for criminals. Ye Qing has committed serious crimes, and surely he has accomplices. I now suspect you are one of his accomplices. Would you believe me if I arrested you and locked you up with him?"
Xu Changzhi's expression turned icy. No one had ever spoken to him like this before.
"Arrest me?" Xu Changzhi glared at him coldly and said, "What right do you have to arrest me?"
Chen Guoxin waved his hand in anger. "Just because I suspect you're Ye Qing's accomplice. What are you looking at? You got a problem with that?" he yelled. "Take him away!"
Immediately, a few police officers pounced on Xu Changzhi, holding him down. The two women who came with him were startled by the scene and hurriedly gathered around.
"What are you doing? Do you know who he is?" the seductive woman shouted.
"Don't arrest my brother!" Xu Changzhi's sister almost cried out in fear. She was naturally timid and had never seen such a scene before.
Upon seeing the two women, Chen Guoxin's eyes lit up. Both girls were pretty, and he was visibly enthused.
Chen Guoxin waved his hand again and said, "So you're all in this together, huh? Even better, take them all!"
Several more police officers approached the two women, but the seductive woman glared at them and shouted, "You dare to arrest us? Do you know who he is? He is Xu Changzhi, his father..."
"Yingzi!" Xu Changzhi suddenly shouted, interrupting the seductive woman. He shook his head at her and then looked coldly at Chen Guoxin, saying, "You can arrest me, but this matter has nothing to do with these two women. Don't touch them!"
"Damn it, Xu Changzhi, Xu Shortzhi, in our police station, they're all the same. So what if your father is the Emperor of Heaven? If you've broken the law, you've got to wear the handcuffs obediently!" Chen Guoxin spat and leered at the two girls, saying, "It's unrelated to them? Why don't I believe that? The police immediately subdued the two women too and dragged them all into a large room nearby.
