Chapter 1328 - 1330: Can You Lend It To Me_1
"That’s great, later I’m going to head back to my room for a nap," said Yang Xiayun. Luo Linyu, resting her head against Yang Xiayun, agreed, "Yeah, I want to sleep a bit more too."
"You two sure can sleep a lot. You went to bed without dinner last night and now you want to sleep again?"
"Even if we don’t sleep, lying in bed and resting is also good. I just don’t feel like moving," said Yang Xiayun, waving her hand at the comment.
Riding in the carriage, everyone felt like they had fallen apart.
On one side, Yang Chuxia was talking with her sisters, while Yangyang looked eagerly at Ye Zi’an on the other.
"Stepdad, are we going out after we eat?"
"Do you really want to go out?"
"Mhm, I want to go out. I want to choose some gifts." His little head nodded incessantly, like pounding garlic.
"Then let’s go out together after we’ve eaten," Ye Zi’an said, seeing both him and Lele looking so excited.
With their dad’s approval, the two little guys ate their meals with incredible speed.
"Mom, are you coming out with us?"
"Yes, Mom wants to have a look too," Yang Chuxia said after putting down her chopsticks.
This county town, known as Gaoshui County, had very beautiful cotton fabric. When she took the two children to Mianyang that year, she passed through this place and bought several bolts of it.
She was thinking of buying more this time to give away when she returned.
The cotton fabric here, with its printed and dyed patterns, was incomparable to other places.
"Shall we go together then?" Lele asked.
"Yes, let Mom rest for a quarter of an hour, and then we’ll go," Yang Chuxia replied.
Yangyang nodded busily, "Mhm, a quarter of an hour’s rest. Mom said it’s good for the stomach to rest a bit after eating before walking."
"Good memory," Yang Chuxia said with a smile, looking at her youngest son. That was something she had mentioned last summer, and he still remembered it.
After a quarter of an hour had passed, Yangyang became restless. "Mom, have you rested enough?"
"What’s the hurry, kiddo?" Ye Zi’an couldn’t help but flick his forehead.
"Stepdad, I’m just anxious," Yangyang protested, covering his forehead and bulging his big eyes.
Yang Chuxia shook her head with a smile, "Alright, alright, let’s go now."
Yang Xiayun and Luo Linyu went back to their room together.
Mingcui naturally followed them, while the two Nurse Lis stayed in the room to watch the stuff.
Ye Er’s group split into two parties, some following and others staying behind.
The two little rascals, holding hands, led the way, with Yang Chuxia and Ye Zi’an following behind.
"Mom, I want to buy this to give to Uncle," said Lele, looking over at the various wooden bookmarks, which were made of rather commonplace wood.
"Sure," Yang Chuxia assented.
Lele, however, thought the pens next to them were nice.
"Yangyang, you need to buy four to cover everyone," Yang Chuxia said as she saw Yangyang inquire about the price and begin to take out his money.
"Why? Don’t I have just two uncles?" Yangyang wondered, thinking one for each uncle was just right.
"Little brother, we have three uncles," Lele explained as he picked out four brushes. "Mom said there’s Uncle Qingbao at Grandpa’s place and Brother Yazhu at Auntie’s place. They’re both studying, so we need to buy four." By then, Lele had already selected four brushes and was taking out his silver to pay.
"Is that so?" Yangyang turned to his mother for confirmation.
"Your brother is right," she assured him.
Hearing this, Yangyang pouted, "Then, I might not have enough silver, right?"
Before Yang Chuxia could reply, he turned to Lele and said, "Brother, I don’t have enough silver. Can you lend me some, please?"
Without much thought, Lele nodded, "Sure, but next time we get our allowance, you have to remember to pay me back."
