The Comeback of the Charming Farmer's Wife

It seems even the best of officials have their flaws.

Lele and Yangyang walked ahead, hearing this remark, they exchanged a glance then both blinked their eyes.

Little Yangyang broke into a grin, suddenly turned around, tugged at Eunuch Cui’s robe, and naively said, "Uncle, my mother said fixing this courtyard would cost an awful lot of money, the kind that’s white stones."

As soon as he finished, Lele pretended to hit him, "Dummy, that’s silver, not stones."

Yangyang stuck out his tongue and quickly added, "Right, right, that’s silver. But Uncle doesn’t need to worry, my mother has silver, my mother has lots and lots of silver, my mother says her liquor can be exchanged for silver."

"Of course, when daddy was fixing the reservoir he even asked mommy for money, mommy has money," Lele chimed in as well.

Eunuch Cui thought about it and realized it might be true, perhaps Lord Ye did indeed finance the courtyard renovations himself.

At his words, Yang Chuxia was initially taken aback, but then, seeing the laughter in his eyes, she realized what he was implying and poked his forehead irritably, "Pervert."
