The Comeback of the Charming Farmer's Wife

The horse cart entered the county town swiftly.

"Xiaxia, let’s not stay at that inn this time," Ye Zi’an suggested to Yang Chuxia, "The last time we were there, you couldn’t sleep well."

"That sounds good, let’s find somewhere else to stay!"

However, no sooner had they completed their conversation, the servant of Young Master Mu surprisingly appeared at the city gate. Seeing Yang Chuxia and others getting off the cart for inspection, he quickly approached.

"My young master has specifically instructed me to wait here for you! Your accommodation has already been arranged." The servant announced.

Yang Chuxia was taken aback, thinking to herself that even though Young Master may have a bad temper, he still seemed quite decent, showing appreciation by way of silver and even arranging accommodations for them.

But she quickly realized she might have misjudged the situation.

The servant continued, "My young master requires a quiet place for conducting the treatment, surely he can’t be running to the inn every day, right?"

"Oh", so Yang Chuxia swallowed the words of gratitude she was about to say.

After their inspection was completed, Yang Chuxia and the others got back into the horse cart, while the servant rode ahead to lead the way.

When they finally reached what appeared to be a peaceful estate, they stopped.

The servant knocked on the door twice, and another servant promptly arrived to open it.

After they entered and reached a hall, the servant said to Yang Chuxia and the others, "Please rest here for a while, while I go and inform my young master."

Having said this, the servant left, and after the duration of about one tea break, Young Master Mu strolled in, looking rather lazy.

However, seeing Ye Zi’an seemed to instinctively irritate him and he snorted, "What a lucky boy you are, having people work so hard for you."

"Is Young Master Mu jealous?" Ye Zi’an responded calmly, "or else why would you always mock me whenever you see me?"

"Hah, jealous of you? What do you have that I could possibly be jealous of?" Young Master Mu exclaimed incredulously, "I’m young and successful, powerful and rich. I can save people and take lives, and I’m not afraid of trouble. Can you do anything of that? Jealous of you?"

At that moment, Young Master Mu resembled a bristling cat.

Yang Chuxia observed that Young Master Mu was definitely an arrogant and twisted man. If he were in contemporary times, coupled with his delicate features, he would be what they call a ’tsundere bottoms’

Her thoughts were interrupted when Ye Zi’an decided to respond. Given his good condition, he didn’t have any reason to be jealous of others. Yang Chuxia was curious to hear what Ye Zi’an was going to say.

Ye Zi’an, hearing Young Master Mu’s words, didn’t seem to get angry or feel inferior whatsoever.

He calmly and coldly retorted, "You don’t have a young lady like Xiaxia who genuinely cares for you. You have no shortage of girls around you, but most of them just covet your status and power, if not your looks."

His simple statement left Young Master Mu speechless, with a darkening facial expression.

Yang Dachuan broke out into a cold sweat on the side, thinking ’Is this reckless boy trying to lose his treatment opportunity?’

Quickly standing up to appease the situation, Dachuan said, "Young Master Mu, please forgive us. He’s just a child who doesn’t know better, don’t take it to heart."

Young Master Mu, however, refused to give Dachuan face, snorting, "he’s more eloquent than you."

"Hey, watch your words!" Yang Chuxia glared at him.

Surprisingly, Young Master Mu didn’t react in anger. Instead, he looked at Dachuan’s arm, then swiftly a silver thread flew over and hung above Dachuan’s arm.

Yang Chuxia’s eyes widened in surprise, ’Wow, could this be the legendary suspended silk pulse-taking?’ she thought.
