Chapter 521 - 521: I love you
Du Tianyi followed Ye Qing all the way to the Ding family's residence. Although he was a bit slower than Ye Qing, he still arrived in time to rescue Ding Changsheng from Ye Qing's grasp.
The gunshot just now had been aimed at Ding Changsheng's head; Du Tianyi pushed him aside, and only then did the shot go astray. However, this action also shocked all the Ding family's members present, as they truly felt threatened by death.
Ding Changsheng scrambled up from the ground in a sorry state, frantically shouting, "Hurry, call someone, call someone, kill him! Kill him for me!"
Other members of the Ding family also approached, but seeing Ye Qing and Du Tianyi fighting each other, no one dared to come any closer.

The soldiers all lifted their guns, aiming at Ye Qing from a distance. Seeing this, Du Tianyi was greatly alarmed and quickly spread his arms in front of Ye Qing, shouting, "Mr. Ding, don't shoot!"
"Move aside!" Ding Changsheng bellowed, eyes wide with fury, "Du Tianyi, are you helping the Ding family or helping this Ye Qing? I'm telling you, if you don't move aside, do you believe I'll kill you too?"
Ding Changsheng was truly cold-hearted; Du Tianyi had just saved his life, and now he was threatening him.
Du Tianyi's expression shifted slightly as he said sternly, "Mr. Ding, there is no need for guns, whatever happens. My Big Brother has already contacted the Master, and he will return to Shenchuan City tonight to personally handle this matter. Mr. Ding, why the rush? Can't you wait until Master arrives to resolve the issue?"
"I can't fucking wait that long. That bastard dared to shoot at me; I'm going to fucking finish him off!" Ding Changsheng cursed fiercely, "Du Tianyi, I'll ask you one more time, are you going to move or not? If not, I'll kill you along with him!"
Du Tianyi stood in front of Ye Qing and firmly shook his head, saying, "Mr. Ding, don't kill him. Otherwise, you won't be able to explain yourself to Master when he returns tonight."
Ding Changsheng was furious and shouted, "Explain my ass! Tie Yongwen is nothing but a household slave of our Ding family. What do we have to explain to him? Du Tianyi's expression changed, and he said gravely, "Mr. Ding, please watch your language!"
"Why should I? Damn it, are you going to move or not? If you don't move, I'll kill you too!" As Ding Changsheng said this, he gestured with his hand and yelled, "Fire!"
The instant Ding Changsheng gestured, Ye Qing lunged forward, grabbing Du Tianyi's shoulder and tackling him to the ground. Simultaneously, several gunshots rang out, and bullets flew where the two men had just been standing. If Ye Qing had been a moment slower, they would likely be riddled with holes right now.
Ding Changsheng truly was insane. Even when Du Tianyi stood in front of Ye Qing, he dared to fire his gun, showing he genuinely didn't regard Tie Yongwen at all.
Ye Qing and Du Tianyi hit the ground and immediately rolled a few times, followed by a burst of intensive gunfire, but it didn't hit either of them. Both were agile; Du Tianyi charged out of the western courtyard while Ye Qing dashed behind a nearby rockery, using it to shield himself.
"Shoot him, shoot him dead for me!" Ding Changsheng pointed at the rockery behind which Ye Qing hid, and bellowed until he was hoarse.
A few soldiers surrounded the rockery, constant gunfire aimed decisively at taking Ye Qing's life.
Hiding behind the rockery, Ye Qing silently counted the number of gunshots, estimating the remaining bullets of his assailants. When he had a rough count, Ye Qing took off his jacket, threw it up abruptly, and simultaneously rolled on the ground, flipping out from behind the rockery.
Seeing the garment appear, the soldiers immediately shot at it, and in no time, Ye Qing's jacket became riddled with holes. Now, most of them were out of bullets and they had not noticed that Ye Qing had already stood up.
Ye Qing rose to his feet, turned his gun around, and fired several shots in quick succession, eliciting screams of agony. The gun-wielding soldiers were almost all hit in the arms, leaving them unable to hold their guns which dropped to the ground, completely draining their strength to even hold a weapon.
Ding Changsheng's eyes were wide with disbelief. He hadn't expected Ye Qing's marksmanship to be so precise, nor that he could fire so many shots in such a short time without missing. Unable to wield their guns, the soldiers were at Ye Qing's mercy again.
Ye Qing turned his gun towards Ding Changsheng, who immediately fell to his knees, shivering, his lips trembling, "Don't... don't shoot... please don't shoot..."
"You wanted to kill me, didn't you?" Ye Qing stared intently at Ding Changsheng. Starting with Ding Shaoyan, he had lost all semblance of regard for the Ding Family. Ding Changsheng's betrayal had filled Ye Qing with overwhelming indignation.
"I... I was wrong. I was too arrogant, Mr. Ye... I know my mistake, please spare me..." Ding Changsheng's voice trembled as he replied, abandoning any pretense of dignity—the fear of being shot dead by Ye Qing was real. And this time, Du Tianyi would not save him; his fate was sealed!
"Spare you?" Ye Qing slowly shook his head and said, "Just now, Du Tianyi spared your life, yet you still shot at him. If I spare you, who's to say you won't shoot me in the back? A person like you should be killed to avoid future trouble!"
"No... please, no..." As Ye Qing's finger rested on the trigger, Ding Changsheng was almost wetting himself, continuously banging his head and pleading for mercy, "Mr. Ye, the matter with Shao Yan... It had nothing to do with me, please... please spare me. I will never dare to seek revenge again; believe me, please believe me!"
Ye Qing's eyes flickered coldly; of course, he didn't trust Ding Changsheng, yet he hesitated inwardly.
"Ye, don't kill him!" Du Tianyi urgently called from the doorway, "Master will return tonight, and no matter what happens, Master will help you solve it. Trust me, don't kill him, Master will handle his affairs too!"
Ye Qing, holding the gun, gazed at Ding Changsheng for a long time, then suddenly pulled the trigger, firing three shots.
"Ahhhh..." Ding Changsheng curled up on the ground with his head in his hands, wailing in pain. However, he wasn't hit at all; Ye Qing had fired the bullets into the ground behind him, scaring the man into crying alive.
"Worthless!" Ye Qing cursed coldly, turning and walking deeper into the western courtyard. However, after several turns, he couldn't find any trace of Ding Shaoyan.
"Ye Qing, you should stop searching!" Du Tianyi followed behind Ye Qing, saying, "Shao Yan has already left the Ding Family. He won't show up again before Master returns tonight!"
"You let him go!" Ye Qing's expression turned icy as he fixed his gaze on Du Tianyi.
Du Tianyi said, "Right or wrong, Master will make his own judgment tonight. Ye Qing, trust me, if Ding Shaoyan has indeed committed unforgivable crimes, Master will not let him off. If a life is lost, he will pay with his life. Trust me!"
Ye Qing frowned deeply, remained silent for a while, then slowly nodded and said, "Alright, then I'll wait for Uncle Tie to judge this matter. I stand by my words, Ding Shaoyan must die, and this time I won't give face to anyone!"
