Chapter 101 – If you're wronged in the future, just say so
"Yudong, you..." Yin Xuemo was flustered.
She had been living in Lu Yudong's house, their relationship quite ambiguous, as if she belonged to him.
But now, being asked to stay in the house that belonged to both Lu Yudong and Jiang Ci, what was that supposed to mean? Were they guests in their own home? Living under someone else's roof?
Was she, a big star, unable to afford her own place?
Lu Yudong didn't answer anything, just waited for the housing bureau staff to complete the paperwork.
Once the property deed was ready, he handed it to Yin Xuemo, "Keep the deed; you'll need it for many transactions."
"But, Yudong..." Yin Xuemo was about to say something when Lu Yudong turned to Jiang Ci and said seriously, "If you're wronged in the future, just say so. Don't come back crying to me! Let's go!"
He took Jiang Ci's hand and left.
Duan Lianyi nudged Yin Xuemo's arm a few times, "What's going on?"
"How would I know what's going on?" Yin Xuemo replied irritably.
Yin Xuemo watched the backs of Jiang Ci and Lu Yudong, her eyes filled with malice.
Earlier, Lu Yudong mentioned Jiang Ci being "wronged." Who knows what Jiang Ci had told Lu Yudong to stir up trouble!
Yin Xuemo thought: Jiang Ci, we have a long way to go!
Even after getting in the car, Jiang Ci was still in a daze, not understanding what Lu Yudong meant.
She thought Lu Yudong might have done it for Yin Xuemo's benefit. After all, he was the president of a listed company, and having a house occupied by a celebrity was enough for the paparazzi to dig up dirt. Lu Yudong, being so shrewd, would want to avoid any misunderstandings by associating Jiang Ci's name with it, thus preventing stock prices from falling.
Anyway, the agreement stipulated that Lu Yudong's assets had nothing to do with her. The name on the property deed could be added or removed, and the right to explain belonged to him.
Although Jiang Ci's true resentment hadn't been resolved today, she was still touched by Lu Yudong's actions. After all, Lu Yudong was telling Yin Xuemo, and also telling her, that in the house belonging to Lu Yudong and Jiang Ci, Yin Xuemo was just like a guest.
But one thing Jiang Ci didn't understand was, weren't he and Yin Xuemo a couple? Why would he do this to Yin Xuemo?
While Jiang Ci was pondering over this, her phone buzzed.
It was a system message from the training class she had signed up for earlier, saying that Jiang Ci had passed her economic law exam and should go to Zhongfu Building to collect her transcript.
Instantly, all her worries disappeared, and a smile spread across Jiang Ci's lips. She hadn't even had a chance to check her results yet, and now she was being asked to pick up her transcript. She quickly opened the website to check her score: 84 points. Quite high.
"Can you take me to Zhongfu Building?" Jiang Ci asked.
Lu Yudong knew Zhongfu Building was where Jiang Ci had her training before, but he wasn't particularly interested. "What for?"
"I passed my economic law exam, and they want me to pick up my transcript." Jiang Ci added unnecessarily, "I scored 84 points, 84 points."
"Hmm, is that high?" Lu Yudong said without any emotion, turning the steering wheel towards Zhongfu Building.
"Of course..." Jiang Ci suddenly didn't feel like saying anything more. Clearly, Lu Yudong wasn't interested in how many points she scored. Besides, she had heard he graduated from a prestigious foreign university, so such a score wouldn't impress him. She thought to herself: It's like playing music to a cow. More precisely, she was showing off her skills in front of a master.
When they arrived at Zhongfu Building, Jiang Ci said, "Wait for me here, I'll be right back."
With that, she happily got out of the car and walked briskly towards Zhongfu Building.
Jiang Yi's car was parked nearby, and from a distance, he saw Jiang Ci approaching.
Jiang Ci's outfit caught Jiang Yi's eye. To be honest, Jiang Ci was already a very beautiful girl, tall, fair-skinned, with long legs, standing out in a crowd. Although she used to dress plainly, she was still recognizable in a crowd. Now, wearing a short skirt and a red vest, she looked incredibly stunning. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she was the prettiest girl on the street, or even in the district or city.
Following the direction Jiang Ci got out of the car, Jiang Yi saw Lu Yudong sitting inside, lighting a cigarette, his gaze also directed towards Jiang Yi.
Jiang Yi thought: Was it because last time Jiang Ci went home to pack her clothes, Lu Yudong felt she dressed too shabbily and embarrassed him, so he bought her new clothes?
Jiang Ci went to the academic office. There weren't many students who passed, and everyone came to pick up their transcripts at different times, so Jiang Ci was the only student there, along with a teacher—Chu Shuo.
Chu Shuo, upon seeing Jiang Ci, felt the same way as Jiang Yi.
"Mr. Chu," Jiang Ci said, feeling a bit embarrassed, remembering the commotion Chu Shuo caused at the Mid-Levels Villa with Lu Yudong last time.
"Jiang Ci, you scored 84 points. That's a high score. I didn't even score that high in economic law back in the day," Chu Shuo said gently.
Jiang Ci thought: Mr. Chu knows his stuff, recognizing her score as high, unlike someone else.
"It's mainly because you taught well," Jiang Ci said.
"No matter how well I teach, some students still don't pass. It's because you learned well. Are you going to study Financial Cost Management here too?" Chu Shuo asked again.
Jiang Ci thought: So much happened with just one economic law course. If I study financial cost management here, won't the sky fall?
"Oh, no, I have plenty of time to review this book. Besides, I don't have time to attend classes, so I won't be coming," Jiang Ci replied politely.
Chu Shuo nodded, looking at Jiang Ci's outfit again, "You look great in this outfit!"
His gaze made Jiang Ci feel uncomfortable, reminding her of the conflicts caused by him. She wished she hadn't worn this outfit.
"Really? Thank you, Mr. Chu. I'm leaving now." After exchanging pleasantries, Jiang Ci left the academic office.
She almost bumped into someone.
