Chapter 75 - 73: Silver Dragon
"Zenallasania (Motherfucker!) It’s only been a few days without rain, and now suddenly it’s snowing! Those sunflowers on my balcony are definitely not going to survive."
"It’s all because of that Crimson Calamity! She’s practically an apocalyptic Evil Dragon. How come there are no Elven Dragon Slayer organizations to slay that Evil Dragon?"
"Quick, go request Attilicia, the resident Priest of the Hall of Justice, to come cast a spell and grant us poor Elves a few more sunny days."
David had barely brought a few subordinates to dock the ship and go ashore when he overheard some High Elves seemingly cursing someone’s mother.
He cocked his silver-and-red-tipped ear webs and listened closely. Oh, it turned out they were greeting him! Well then, no worries. He was even a bit amused.
Ever since the catastrophic eruption of the Katjana supervolcano, his mother Pafila had likely already gained infamy across most of the plane. A curse or two hurled his way wouldn’t make much of a difference now, would it?
If he ever got the chance to blow up his reputation across the plane in one go, he reckoned he wouldn’t mind a few whispered curses behind his back either.
Of course, face-to-face Taunts and direct curses were another matter; dealing with those was still effortless.
What? I’m a ’Silver Dragon’ now, a companion of justice and benevolence? I can’t be this bloody and violent! Fine. In that case, I’ll just beat them half to death, have a Priest revive them from the Styx River, and then beat them again until they can’t utter another curse. That should settle the matter.
However, hearing the Elves’ discussions, David was suddenly reminded of the sight from high above: a wondrous spectacle where the sun shone upon a city-state, like a hollow in the clouds. That was most likely the Elven capital, Dewensen City. He grew curious and asked, "There are Priests who can cast Control Celestials? Is that how your capital always maintains sunny weather?"
Ahmed, who had been reduced to a beggar-like state after more than two months of imprisonment and an extended sojourn of over half a month as a deckhand, respectfully answered, "Of course. The resident Priest Attilicia is able to cast the seventh-circle spell Control Celestials. Whether it’s requesting rain during dry seasons or sunshine during rainy seasons, as long as one reaches out to the resident Priest Attilicia and he happens to be free, he generally won’t refuse."
"But the disaster caused by the Katjana volcano this time is too severe and widespread; he alone is fundamentally powerless to resolve it."
