The Red Dragon Just Wants To Do As It Pleases

Chapter 51 - 50: Featherbrain

After a moment, a crowd of elves, only too eager to watch a bigger scene unfold, and Drow, who hurried forward to ’bravely protect their master,’ finally managed to pry apart the two savagely fighting Red Dragons. It took all their might, and they paid the price: twenty-eight elves suffered workplace injuries, either smashed away on the spot or caught and crushed. They then successfully subdued the wild red dragon, who fought like a woman possessed.

Damn, I was careless, David, his face covered in bloody marks from the female dragon’s bites and claws, murmured to himself. He was still shaken, even under the effects of his sister Tania’s Minor Healing and the continuous Touch of Healing from the Elf Druids.

This female dragon was so damn fiery. She fought desperately, as if intending to rip his skull open at any cost. If his side hadn’t possessed an overwhelming advantage in dragon numbers, his skull truly might have been flipped today. For some reason, he should have been able to easily handle this situation with his Seven Sins Authority. Of course, activating the Authority would likely have resulted in accidentally killing her outright. But once he entered that state of close combat, it was as if his brain had been blasted with adrenaline, leaving nothing but molten lava-like Wrath. He fought purely on draconic instinct. Was this sort of shrewish fighting style really encoded into the DNA of dragons?

"If you dare, fight me one-on-one! What skill is there in bullying me with your retainers? I won’t accept this! I, Lizrite, would rather die here today than let you succeed!"

David shook his head at her earlier words, too lazy to bicker with this unreasonable red dragonling. However, he instantly erupted in Wrath at her last sentence.

With a dragon’s majestic strut, he came before the young female dragon, reared up, and adopted a Vegeta-like arrogant pose—claws crossed over his chest, tail held high. He declared, "Are you daydreaming in broad daylight? Or are you blind despite your youth? Open your eyes wide and take another good look! Aren’t I a Red Dragonling, just like you?"

Lizrite, nearly driven mad with Despair and anger, paused. Her face filled with suspicion as she looked David up and down, her previous unyielding stance softening considerably. She asked uncertainly, "You, you’re lying... I’m already fourteen this year, nearly a young dragon. Yet you’re at least three sizes larger than me, and your strength is in a completely different league! And you still have the nerve to pretend to be a dragonling?"

David didn’t even bother to continue arguing with her. He turned his head and nodded his chin at the Silver Dragon. "Tania, tell this brainless fool how old I am."

Brainless?! Lizrite heard this label and flared up in anger again, almost bursting a blood vessel. But Tania’s next words felt like a breath of icy mist washing over her head.
