Chapter 66. The Chief.
Yuki. Northern Water Tribe. Chief's Palace.
The rays of the bright midday sun seemed to penetrate every open space, filling the lives of the people with color. This is most beautifully seen here, at the North Pole, where almost every structure is made of ice. The combination of the local sun and frozen water creates a mesmerizing spectacle.
"I still can't believe it—maybe all four of them..." Kaya mused, still lying in our bed.
"Someday I'll demonstrate it in real life," I said, trying on my not-so-large wardrobe. Today, I need to look a hundred and ten percent. "Hmm, turns out all my clothes are casual, not a single formal outfit for public appearances..."
"Your mom and I knew you'd wait until the day of the event to worry about your clothes," one of the best women in the world rolled her eyes. "That's why we ordered new clothes to be made," she glanced at the sun's position and continued, "In about half an hour to an hour, your formal outfit will be ready."
"What would I do without you?" I winked at her through the mirror, unable to resist another long look at her exposed body, so temptingly peeking out from under the blanket. I just want to latch onto those juicy breasts... Fresh memories of last night's wildness flashed through my mind, making me want to ditch all plans and focus on more enjoyable activities...
"Ah," she noticed my burning gaze and shook her head, "Or we might not have time to prepare. Remember, 'Work first, then play,'" she finished, wrapping herself completely in the blanket to avoid tempting me into mischief.
Forcing my eyes away, I used blood magic to calm my "battle-ready" soldier. It's awkward how often I use blood magic for this instead of combat... For now, I have enough self-control to keep this massive life energy in check, but with each new chakra opened, its quality only improves. Thanks to Dria, since our more intimate relationship began, my body has more or less calmed down and doesn't demand "energy release."
My actual age is thirteen, but due to many factors, I feel like a teenager in his most turbulent phase, making me want "it" all the time. I'm not eager to delve too deeply into my body, afraid of doing something wrong and suffering later.
Right after my return, I had a serious talk with my family and close circle. I revealed almost all my secrets, only omitting how I ended up here. They were more upset by my lack of trust than by the news itself. Only the next day did a flood of clarifying questions come, once the news had been fully absorbed.
Arnuk took the information calmly, only happy about my achievements and strength, as well as his impending retirement as Chief. Sokka was curious about everything—my exact powers, elemental control, and even the customs of other countries. This all came after his long depressive state. The news that his mother, essentially my future wife, was met with mixed feelings. He was glad it was someone close to him but couldn't accept it quickly.
