I leaned back against the old wooden bench, staring at the half-rotted beams above my head. Dust floated in the air like time itself had been suspended in this place. But even in the quiet, my thoughts stormed.

William Yates.

The name came back to me like bile in my throat.

"That bastard..." I muttered, my voice low, bitter.
