Chapter 220: The Titan Queen’s Proposition
Samuel's POV
I let out a chuckle, shaking my head slightly. "Alright, I wasn't expecting this."
Aurelia took another slow sip of her tea, her golden eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh, come now, Samuel. You didn't think Valeria summoned you just to talk about the weather, did you?"
I turned back to Titan Queen Valeria, who was still watching me with those piercing crimson eyes, her expression unreadable.
"So?" I smirked, crossing my arms. "What exactly are you testing, Valeria?"
She stepped forward, closing the remaining distance between us. Despite my confidence, I could feel the raw energy radiating from her—power centuries old, enough to shatter mountains with a flick of her wrist. And yet... there was something else in her gaze now. Curiosity? Desire? Amusement?
"It has been... a long time," she finally said, voice smooth yet laced with something deeper. "A long time since any warrior has piqued my interest."
I arched an eyebrow. "So what? You're interested in a fight? Or something else?"
Aurelia laughed softly behind her teacup. "Oh, he's sharp."
