Chapter 26: Facing the Dungeon Boss
The cavernous room felt even more oppressive as I took my first step into the heart of the Dungeon Boss room. The air was thick with a strange, unnatural presence. The ground beneath my feet seemed to pulse, the echoes of low growls reverberating off the stone walls.
I stood still for a moment, my eyes scanning the shadows. Then, from the corner of the room, I saw it. A massive, imposing figure emerging from the darkness.
Its fur was matted and torn, its eyes glowing a sickly yellow. The creature let out a low growl, its body rippling with raw power. The Dungeon Boss— a Smilodon, a massive saber-toothed tiger-like beast, its enormous fangs gleaming in the dim light. It had the body of a predator, a true apex creature, ready to pounce.
I didn't flinch. Instead, I stood taller, watching its every movement.
"So, this is the final challenge?" I muttered to myself. "A Smilodon... fitting."
The beast paused, its sharp ears twitching as if it could sense my presence. It turned its head slowly, eyes locking onto me. There was a moment of silence, as if the world itself had stopped to watch this encounter.
The beast growled again, louder this time, its muscles flexing as it prepared for its attack.
I smirked, cracking my neck. "Let's dance, then."
The Battle Begins – Clash of Beasts
Without any warning, the Smilodon lunged at me, its claws scraping the stone floor as it rushed forward with inhuman speed. Its fangs glistened, ready to tear into me.
"Too slow," I muttered under my breath.
