Zhou Yi took Jing Wen to a high-end Chinese restaurant. He wasn't fond of Western cuisine and couldn't be bothered with the intricate dining etiquette. When dining with Jing Wen, comfort was his top priority.
They arrived at a renowned Chinese restaurant on Huaihai Road. Zhou Yi had reserved a private room, which offered a serene and elegant dining atmosphere. Jing Wen, being a business owner herself, subtly glanced around the restaurant's decor, pondering if there were any improvements she could make to her own establishment.
Once inside the private room, both of them relaxed.
"It was so quiet outside, I didn't dare to speak," Jing Wen said.
"Same here. Now that we're in the private room, it's just the two of us. Let's be at ease," Zhou Yi replied.
Soon, a beautiful waitress approached with a warm smile to take their orders. Jing Wen was slightly taken aback by the prices on the menu but didn't say a word. She simply ordered a few dishes and handed the menu back to Zhou Yi.
This wasn't the time to say, "Oh, this place is too expensive, let's go somewhere else." Since Zhou Yi had brought her here, she didn't want to spoil the mood. After the waitress left, Zhou Yi smiled and asked, "Sister Wen, you're not telling me to save money like you usually do."
Jing Wen chuckled, "Because now you have the means, and you're doing this to make me happy. Today, I'll let you take the lead."
For Jing Wen, this was her first date with Zhou Yi, and she cherished it. She wasn't going to say anything to dampen the mood.
