Chapter 197: Going Crazy
Zack waved him off. "It's fine. I know it's fake."
Zack's power armor descended over the ruined streets. Below, the Mechanical Legion had already begun its purge— Fearless Warriors cutting down hordes of zombies while scouting for threats. "Ego, any reports of attacks elsewhere?"
"Negative, Sir. Only sixteen warriors were lost."
"Then let's see what the hell happened." Zack angled downward— And dived straight into the roundabout. BOOM! A massive shockwave blasted outward as it slammed into the street, leaving a crater where it landed. The force of the landing sent debris flying, shaking the ground.
"ROAR—!" The impact drew attention—hundreds of zombies snapped their heads toward him, their bloodshot eyes locking onto their new target. Then, they charged. Like a wave of rotting flesh, they rushed forward—hundreds of them, swarming toward the Apex Mk2 suit.
"Palm cannons—continuous fire mode.Mode switched."
BZZZZT!
Two brilliant golden beams erupted from Apex Mk2's palms. WHOOSH! The beams sliced through the Immortal, burning straight through their bodies like a laser through paper. Dozens of zombies dropped instantly, their corpses splitting apart in a molten blaze. The beams swept sideways, mowing down rows of Immortal in an instant.
