Chapter 310 - 310 The roar
Arthur didn't bother with the palace front door. He focused his immense power. Rimuru and Ultear gathered the stunned mages, and Mystogan watched, already halfway to a nervous breakdown.
"Alright, that's enough running around,"
Arthur muttered, annoyed.
"Let's just end this so we can grab some real food back home. Throne Room, express delivery."
With a silent, violent flash of gold and silver, the entire assembly vanished from the mobile unit and instantly materialized inside the grand Royal Palace Throne Room.
King Faust, seated on his ornate throne and discussing the final Magnolia Lacrima procedure with his general, nearly fell over.
Faust shrieked, pointing a trembling finger.
"Th-the prisoners! How did you get here?! Where is Commander Knightwalker?!"
Arthur gently set Wendy and Makarov down, dusting off his jacket as if they had just taken a bumpy bus ride. He walked toward the throne, totally unconcerned by the armed Edolas guards who were now aiming their mechanical weapons at him.
"Dude, can you just not?"
Arthur deadpanned, rolling his eyes.
"Your whole security system is weak, your 'commander' is taking a nap, and your big power move is permanently broken. Just stop trying."
Faust's Final Desperation The King's Plan
Faust, consumed by arrogance and fear, grabbed a massive lever beside his throne, the switch for the final, desperate activation of the Magnolia Lacrima conversion.
"You may have defeated Knightwalker, but you cannot defeat the power of the Throne!"
Faust screamed.
"I will convert your city and rule both dimensions!"
Arthur didn't stop him. He just looked at the lever with profound pity, his golden eyes briefly flickering to an ancient, cosmic hue.
Arthur had done enough subtlety. He had proven his points to Natsu, secured his guild, and neutralized the dimensional threat. Now, he needed to make sure that King Faust—and every future despot who might consider messing with Earthland—understood the true definition of power.
Arthur stood still, but the air around him didn't just thicken; it became conceptualized.
The light in the throne room bent, the metallic walls seemed to weep with dimensional energy, and the very concept of "King" began to shake under his presence.
Arthur didn't use sound. He unleashed his identity.
His roar was a dimensional phenomenon. It wasn't heard by the ear; it was experienced by the soul.
The sound that followed was the sound of reality tearing, the screech of impossible force, and the crushing weight of cosmic law.
"ROOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!"
Across the entire continent of Edolas, every single person—from the lowest peasant to the highest noble—felt a terrifying, crushing vibration in their chests. It was a roar that seemed to confirm the universe was not empty; it was ruled by something vast, golden, and indescribably ancient.
In the forest, Natsu staggered, dropping to his knees, his mind registering the noise as the ultimate, definitive word of an apex predator.
In every town, the remaining Edolas guards dropped their mechanical weapons, paralyzed by existential terror.
In the throne room, King Faust released a choked, pathetic cry, collapsing from his throne as his mind was violently exposed to the reality of the Reality Bending Cosmic True Dragon. He was physically unharmed, but his political will, his spirit, and his desire to rule were utterly shattered.
The continental terror lasted only a split second before Arthur withdrew his power, the golden light receding. The throne room was silent save for the heavy, stunned breathing of the Edolas guards.
Arthur nudged the unconscious King Faust with his foot.
"Seriously, next time, stick to knitting or something less catastrophic,"
He sighed.
He turned to the rescued Fairy Tail mages.
"Alright, everyone. Fun's over. Time to go home."
Arthur created one last portal—a swirling, stable, and perfectly safe gateway back to the Fairy Tail Crater on Earthland. He ensured the portal was set for a reverse flow of dimensional energy, completing Mystogan's original goal without any further fuss.
Mystogan watched in awe as the Dragon God ushered his guild, one by one, into the stable golden vortex.
Rimuru smiled, giving a slight nod to Mystogan. Ultear followed, holding the still-weak Makarov. Erza Scarlet paused, giving a satisfied, final glare at the terrified Royal Army before stepping through.
Arthur stepped into the portal last, but paused halfway, looking back at the shattered king and the horrified Mystogan.
"Hey, Mystogan. Your plan was dumb, but you got points for trying,"
Arthur finished, giving a wave.
"Next time, just call me. It's faster. Bye!"
And with that final, flippant comment, Arthur and his team vanished, leaving the dimension of Edolas to deal with its now-magicless, but safe, future.
