Chapter 321
Elendir, Erma, and I ventured into the night to do some crime fighting. Maybe it was the result of the news doing a segment the other day, but we didn't run into many incidents. Instead, the three of us staked out the night like owls searching for prey atop buildings. Riding the high of her victory, Erma was eager to teach some no-good asshole a lesson. I'd chosen a sketchy part of Shinjuku where, word on the street was, gangs liked to pick off lone people to mug.
On the other hand… Elendir wasn't so hot on the idea.
"Saeko, love… These masks are itchy and suffocating. Do we really have to wear them?" Elendir asked, sticking a finger underneath the mask to scratch her cheek.
"It's so that no one sees our face. I guess we're not doing anything right now, so you don't have to have it on," I said.
"Oh, thank the Everlight." She ripped the ski mask off and fanned herself with it.
"Tonight has been pretty uneventful. Perhaps we should turn in early?" Erma suggested.
"Maybe you're right. Let's at least grab some drinks to celebrate your win today." I pulled off my mask, too.
We were coming out of an alley when a group of shady guys dragged a salaryman in. All of us looked up and exchanged awkward glances.
"C-Can I get some help over here?" the poor man pleaded, hugging his briefcase to his chest.
"At last, some enjoyment before turning in for the night." Erma cracked her knuckles.
"Oh, shit. It's the fucking vigilante freaks I keep hearing about! Run!" one of the guys cried.
They shoved the salaryman hard. He stumbled forward, but I caught him. Erma and Elendir gave chase, bolting out of the alley in haste. I hurried after them. The thugs were pushing people out of the way as they sprinted down the sidewalk.
We chased them all the way to the end of the block when Elendir grinded to a halt and extended a hand, palm facing their backs.
"No, wait!" I shouted.
Too late. Elendir shot a fiery blast that screeched forth like the roar of a dragon. Erma dove out of the way. Some of the men turned around and gaped at the spell that would be their doom. Except it exploded on a newstand, sending burning debris into the sky that showered down a moment later.
"There. That should stop them." Elendir clapped her hands of the cinders.
"We give! We give! We'll never do it again, so please leave us alone!" a guy in a tank top pleaded.
"Elendir, that was overkill!" I groaned.
"What? I wasn't aiming for them," she said.
Police and firefighting sirens blared in the distance.
"Okay, it might be time to leave!" I casted invisibility on all three of us, and we slipped away as law enforcement and firefighters poured into the scene.
We ran a few blocks down and entered a manga cafe, hiding inside the bathrooms to shed our invisibility before walking back out. The quiet place was very busy at this time of the night, filled to the brim with patrons looking for a cheap stay or to get away from home.
No one minded that we were a pair of elves and a succubus. The guests probably saw enough of my kind around Shinjuku. People were absorbed with what was going on with their computers inside compact booths. Others lounged around in the lobby, having a coffee and late meal.
I paid for one of the larger booths to accommodate myself, Elendir, and Erma, but it really wasn't that much bigger. It was only for until the coast was clear to head home, because I couldn't keep invisibility on all of us for that long. And since law enforcement was getting suspicious of magic-using denizens from Elza, they would certainly interrogate us first if found.
"I'm sorry, guys." I returned to our modest booth with snacks and drinks. "Didn't mean for this to happen."
"No, I should be the one apologizing. I often forget that magic isn't common in your world." Elendir bowed ashamedly.
"Mistress and I didn't exactly make it clear that using magic was forbidden. The two of us have been taking people down using our physical strength and her charm," Erma explained.
"Still, it doesn't excuse that I nearly killed humans and damaged property. I will do my best to exercise restraint," she vowed.
Since we were here anyway, I suggested they pick up a manga to read. To no surprise, Erma was drawn to Baki, an over-the-top fighting manga. Elendir, on the other hand, grabbed one in which the plot was about a centuries old elf with incredible magical powers at her disposal.
Both of them became engrossed with the respective comics they were reading that, when I suggested we could finally leave, they were too glued to their seats to. Face buried their manga, the pair went through several volumes in the course of a single hour. Meanwhile, I was nodding off in our dim booth.
"Saeko." Elendir closed the manga after she finished. "It seems I have savagely underestimated the fiction of your world. This is much more interesting than I expected. I wish to read more!"
"And Mistress, I thoroughly enjoyed this biopic. I wish to challenge this man named Yujiro Hanma," Erma said.
"Uh… How do I break this to you? It's not a biopic. It's completely fiction, which means Yujiro Hanma isn't real," I explained.
The combat sports enthusiast whole world shattered before her very eyes.
"Well, I'd like to at least continue reading this, if possible?" Erma asked.
"That, I can definitely help you with," I said.
I paid for their monthly subscription program that lets us check out their manga. They had extra copies in store, so this allowed the business to make extra money on the side. However, Baki was a pretty long running series and had many volumes under its name. We also weren't carrying a hundred volumes back home. It just was possible with three pairs of hands.
Instead, we borrowed and checked out the next 20 volumes which should keep Erma busy for a little while. Elendir had fewer to check out. Frieren wasn't a very big comic and was only up to 14 volumes. She finished the first two volumes and picked up the rest to read back home.
By now, the police and firefighters were gone. We headed back home where they continued to read well into the night.
I yawned into my hand emerging from my bedroom to a new day at the start of the week. Time to get to work and drain lonely and horny men to the bones. But as soon as I stepped into the living room, I found Erma on the couch still reading Baki. Shadow and Snowball sat to either side of her, and they rose to stretch upon seeing me.
"Don't tell me you've been out here reading that all night…" I braced myself for the answer.
"Oh, but I have. I'm enjoying this series so much!" Erma confirmed my suspicions.
"You have Jiu Jitsu in the morning, and Kung Fu in the afternoon! Can you even function on no sleep?"
"Yes, actually. I am fully capable, mentally and physically, on a mere half hour of sleep. During the war against the Demon King, my army and I pursued a particularly nasty general of his. The scouts caught wind that he was headed to destroy a small wheat village for fun. We marched for days to close the distance on him. No rest. No horses. We slayed the monster." The legate's eyes lit up as she recalled the fonder memories of war.
Suddenly, I didn't feel as bad for her anymore…
What about Elendir? I tiptoed to her room, careful not to wake Mio and Kana. Shadow had stayed behind with Erma on the couch. Snowball, Elendir's beloved blind cat, followed me using her hearing. When I opened the door just a crack and peered in, she was fortunately sleeping. The stack of novels on the nightstand, including one volume with a bookmark sticking out, suggested she had read a bit more before going to bed.
Snowball slinked into the room and hopped onto his owner's bed. Even then she didn't wake up. I walked over and playfully prodded her cheek with my finger.
"Whatever happened to wanting to keep a routine of waking up early?" I teased.
"Just a little while longer… I had stayed up to read another volume against my better judgment," Elendir murmured.
"If this keeps up, you're going to turn into a slob like Mio—"
Elendir snapped upright, and Snowball rolled down her legs.
"I'm up. I will not be a slob," she muttered in a mantra.
We whipped up a hearty breakfast for Erma to scarf down before she left for Jiu Jitsu, but not without a couple of volumes of Baki to bring with her. Kana got up next, ate, and hurried off to school. Elendir and I had to forcibly wake Mio up, otherwise she would be late for work.
After feeding the cats, I drove all three of us to Tsuki. Elendir accompanied us because she didn't like being alone in the apartment.
I had sex with clients for most of the morning, then fell back to doing clerical work. When things were slowing down just past noon, I decided to drop in on Elendir in the break room to see how she was doing. Imagine my lack of surprise to find her buried in manga.
"Heh. You guys are really enjoying manga." I grinned.
"I'm beginning to think you should introduce us to more. I would also very much like to try this cosplay thing I hear about! The tradition of dressing in a fictional character's regalia," Elendir said.
"Cos… Cosplay…" My imagination went wild over Elendir dressed in all sorts of costumes from what the depths of anime culture could muster.
If I had a dick right now, I would be fully erect. However a commotion downstairs gave me blueballs. We headed down to find police officers confronting the front desk. I immediately stopped Elendir and pulled her back.
"What's wrong?" Elendir asked.
"Police visiting Tsuki the day after we were busting crimes last night? I get the feeling this isn't a coincidence. Wait right here. I'll take care of it," I insisted.
Elendir hung back, and I emerged from the back to join the confused succubi manning the front desk.
"Like I said, you can't cut in line. You're going to have to sign up on the website or e. You’re going to have to make an appointment on the website, or come back early the next morning,” the succubus explained.
“Like we said, we’re not here for that!” One officer groaned into his hand.
“What’s going on?” I asked, making myself known.
“Oh, Queen Saeko. Sorry for the ruckus. These men are being a pain in the ass," she said.
"Go ahead and take your break. Let me handle this." I nodded to her.
The succubus was more than happy to take her break early. As soon as she was gone, the impatient officers turned their attention to me.
"Are you Saeko Ito?" the lankier of the two officers asked.
"Yes, I am. Is there anything I can help with?" I batted my eyelashes, but they weren't falling for my charms.
"There is. You can cooperate with us, because we are placing you under arrest for suspicions of battery and assault," he said, grabbing my hand and placing cuffs on me.
"Wait, what?!" I cried.
"Uhm, Saeko? Should I help, or are you still taking care of it?" Elendir asked from the back.
"D-Don't worry about me, and tell Mio I'll be fine!"
It was embarrassing being escorted out like this, especially with Tsuki clients watching the entire thing unfold. The officers put me in the back of their car and drove me to the Shinjuku police department, a very unassuming gray building that somehow terrified me. A succubus!
Human me would have thought this was the end of my life, coming here. I still did. I was a model student, not the best, but I never got into trouble with the law. They escorted me through the lobby, where a few civilians were waiting their turn to submit a police report. Many were just here to inform about petty crimes.
However, we walked past all that and entered the back where a fleet of officers, trained to work in one of the biggest and densest parts of Tokyo, folks who had dealt and seen all sorts of crime, stared at me as I was led in. At the very least, I didn't have to suffer their stares when they led me into an interrogation room. It had nothing but a desk and chair, which they asked me to sit down in.
One officer unlocked the handcuffs, and the other left. The officer who stayed behind waited by the door and watched me intensely.
"Do… I get to make a phone call?" I asked nervously.
The door swung open, and a portly and kindly-looking sergeant entered. He sat across from me, shifting a couple of documents around in his hands.
"Saeko Ito. My name is Sergeant Sugi Niikata. Before we begin, would you like a lawyer present before speaking?" the officer asked.
"No, but I have someone in mind that I want to call," I replied.
They permitted me to call someone, and I phoned the one man I had in mind to get me out of this situation. Maybe. Mr. Ishioka rushed down to Shinjuku from a business trip in Kyoto. He stumbled into the interrogation room, face covered in sweat.
"You've been arrested? What happened?!" Mr. Ishioka exclaimed.
Sergeant Niikata explained the situation, and with every word that came out of his mouth, Mr. Ishioka seemed to grow another wrinkle on the middle-aged face. However, when it was Mr. Ishioka's turn to talk, Sergeant Niikata grew more frustrated by the second.
Before I knew it, the sergeant said I was free to go with a warning. Mr. Ishioka and I were sitting in the back of his work car, parked behind a grocery store.
"Battery and assault? What have you been doing?" Mr. Ishioka cried.
"I, uh… crime fighting… at night…" I confessed.
"This was very close to disastrous." He took his glasses off and pinched the bridge of his nose. "If it came out that you were committing crimes, the succubus program could be canceled by the Diet. Lucky for us, they only suspected it was you, but I convinced them that it could have been any succubus. And that their witnesses were unreliable because it was at night. No more vigilantism!"
"What if I be more careful from now on?" I asked.
"It's not a matter of being care— ooohh!"
I reached into his pants to grab his dick and stroked it erect. Mr. Ishioka tried to protest, but I climbed on top of him, pulled his dick out, and positioned it beneath my pussy.
"We can have sloppy car sex, and I'll even dress up in my high school uniform that you like~" I suggested seductively.
"Really? No, wait! You're treading a dangerous line with vigilantism, and I-I… ahhh! Oooh!" Mr. Ishioka forgot the rest of his sentence when I put it in.
For the rest of the afternoon, I fucked his brains out until he emptied his balls into me and caved.
