The shelter in place warning was going to stay in effect all morning and might extend into the afternoon. All that snow from the storm had blanketed Asahi-dake white. Fate just needed to look at it the wrong way, and an avalanche would come straight down. But our train back to Tsukiji was in the afternoon. We couldn't afford to stay cooped up here all day.

Mio and I soaked in the bath to refresh ourselves, then rejoined the others outside in the lounge. Worried inn guests and staff milled about, many on their phones. Probably to call family and friends that they were okay.

We found a quiet corridor away from the crowds that led to a restroom and rang up Hatsumi. She picked up immediately despite being at work, as expected of my older sister. When we explained to her what happened, she threw a fit and needed to be calmed down by a coworker.

"Thank goodness, you are all okay. Is the inn safe?" Hatsumi interrogated me.

"We're not sure yet. We can't exactly leave though, since there aren't any cars and cabs running with the threat of an avalanche. So it's best if we just stay put, even if we end up missing our train," I explained.

"Aside from the storm and avalanche, you'd like it here, Hatsumi! We should come as a family next time," Mio insisted.

"Hehe. That does sound like fun— oh. I'm so sorry. The chief finally caught on that I'm on the phone. Be safe, you two. And don't do anything reckless like getting out of a car during a snowstorm! Bye, love you both!" She hung up just as someone started reprimanding her from afar.

We headed back to Kana, Erma, and Elendir. The three of them were in the lounge cupping a mug of coffee in their hands to warm up with.

"How's it looking?" I asked.

"Not good." Kana shook his head.

"Some of your fellow humans tried to leave, only to get stuck in the snow a few meters from the inn. We had to go and dig them out. Suffice to say, they weren't very smart." Erma eyed two men across the lounge, blankets over their shoulders, and shivering like crazy.

"Is it looking like we may miss the train?" Elendir turned to me with a frown.

"Yeah…" I nodded. "But who knows? Things might change in the next few hours."

Instead of in our rooms, we joined the inn guests who were still around to eat breakfast in the cafeteria. It was a large room with two long tables stretching parallel across. Ms. Serizawa and Mr Kogiri were among the staff serving us. They made sure my group had extra helpings for what we did yesterday.

Mine and Mio's decision to leave the truck meant they didn't need to toss some food off to make room. The fact that everyone was able to eat thanks to us made me feel it was all worth it. And speaking of which…

By chance, the elderly couple that we had given our seats to sat down across from us. The wife recognized us first and flashed a warm smile that reminded me of my grandma.

"Oh, I remember you! You're the succubus who rescued us last night. I'm so glad you two are alright, too! We wouldn't have made it through the night if not for you," the woman gushed.

"Ah, shucks. It was nothing. Glad you and gramps are okay." Mio grinned before stuffing her mouth full of fresh salad.

"You say thank you to them, too." She nudged her husband.

"Hrmph. Our car is probably buried under ten feet of snow out there. Don't know what there is to be thankful— ow!"

His wife must have pinched him underneath the table. She glared at him until he gave in and thanked us, even though gratitude wasn't necessary.

Apparently, they had come to the inn on their son's suggestion. He booked their stay, an all paid for expense gift to kick off their retirement and to relax. Kind of like us, but me to my loved ones.

I really hoped Uta's warning about the avalanche was just out of an abundance of caution. The last thing I wanted was for the old couple, and everyone here for that matter, to have their vacation ruined.

After breakfast, we headed back to our room, but I just couldn't put the thought of the avalanche out of my mind.

"You're going out there again? After what happened last night?" Elendir put both hands on her hips and glared as I threw on my jacket.

"The snowstorm passed! It's not blowing hard enough to throw us around anymore. Besides, I want to get a good look at the snow over Asahi-dake. Might give me a better perspective of how dangerous a potential avalanche might be," I explained.

"I'll go with Saeko just to be safe! Don't worry. We'll be fine, Elly. If Saeko does anything stupid, I'll be there to stop her." Mio puffed out her chest.

"Normally, you're the one doing something stupid, so I don't want to hear that from you!" I retorted.

"Fine. But you come back to us at the first sign of trouble. Kana, Erma, and I were scared beyond belief when you and Mio didn't show up at the inn yesterday," she said.

Kana and Erma both nodded to Elendir's side.

"Quit worrying, you three. The two of us will be right back," I promised them.

We threw on a jacket and flew out from the entrance of the inn. Compared to last night, this was a light breeze. Hard to imagine we were getting throttled. Mio and I got as far as the foot of Asahi-dake. Snow everywhere. A low fog blanketed the surface, too.

There were two types of avalanches that typically occurred. One involved loose and very light snow, which I had reason to believe this was considering the recent snowstorm last night. The second was slab avalanches, where heavy packed snow collapsed in sheets. I was satisfied just getting a glimpse, but Mio descended to Asahi-dake.

"Mio, where are you going!" I yelled and followed after her.

I got down just as Mio scooped up some snow and balled it up. She lobbed it straight into my face.

"Kahaha! You look like a group of guys jizzed on your face!" Mio erupted into laughter.

"Yeah. Ha-ha." I rolled my eyes. "But we shouldn't mess around. This snow could come rushing down at any moment. We also promised the others to stay sa— are you listening?!"

Mio was balling up another snowball. She was not, in fact, listening to me. Fortunately, I was prepared and dodged her next shot. If it was a battle she wanted, then a battle she gets. I scooped up a ball in each hand and lobbed them. We pelted each other with snow, stopping only when the sound of a helicopter passed by.

They were probably the news chopper. It had circled around the mountain and came just right above us. We stopped our snowball fight to wave. Maybe we would see ourselves on the television later.

Without warning, the helicopter drew closer. I couldn't tell if it was trying to get a better look at us or what, but we felt the winds of the spinning rotors.

"Wait. I don't think that's a good idea!" I gasped.

"What isn't?" Mio asked.

"If the helicopter gets any closer to the surface, it might disturb the snow into an avalanche!"

We flew up in an attempt to wave them away. But it turned out that they didn't really see us. I spotted their camera pointed north, towards the peak of Asahi-dake. Maybe they were just trying to get a good shot of the mountain first thing in the morning. Now wasn't the best time though.

As we tried to catch up to the chopper, the winds picked up and jostled them. The pilot corrected themselves, but something fell out of the open door. A lot of somethings. Thankfully, it wasn't people. A large filming camera and other equipment plummeted into the snow.

Then the earth rumbled.

"Don't tell me…" Mio turned to me, horrified.

A large section of snow around where the news crew's equipment fell shifted. But it didn't move very far and came to a gradual stop. We breathed a sigh of relief… too soon.

The earth continued to shudder. Farther up Asahi-dake, a gigantic sheet of snow shifted downwards, picking up speed in its descent.

"Saeko, it's heading straight for the inn! The others are there!" Mio cried.

"I know! But how are we supposed to stop this?" I clenched my teeth when I imagined everyone buried under the avalanche.

We rushed down the mountain trying to come up with what to do. Mio threw out a bunch of suggestions like shooting fireballs, but I turned them all down. That might make things worse instead.

It was moving fast. Asahi-dake wasn't a very steep mountain, and this speed could be considered modest at best. Still, we couldn't keep up. I sent a flurry of texts to Kana, warning them to brace for the avalanche.

Please, I begged. Don't let this vacation turn into a disaster.

I brought everyone here. If anything were to happen to them…

The moving mass of snow knocked down countless trees. I even saw a car among the slurry. We were nearing the inn, and the avalanche showed no signs of slowing down. I was getting desperate and willing to try Mio's outrageous plans until someone stepped out of the building.

I recognized that woman anywhere. Tall, busty, and of dark complexion. Elendir. All I could think of was 'why?' Mio saw her, too, and was horrified. However, Elendir didn't waver in the face of the avalanche. She put herself between it and the inn, brandishing a staff I didn't know she had. The head of her gnarled wooden weapon glowed so bright, it blinded me and Mio. We shielded our eyes and turned away, only to notice the avalanche slowing down.

Elendir erected a giant half-circle barrier around the inn. The avalanche made contact and pummeled her magical shield. She winced. It looked as if an invisible force pushed against her, even if she was a fair distance from the wall of snow.

"Elly!" Mio cried.

"We're coming!" I shouted, and the two of us descended to join her.

"It's been… so long since… I've performed magic of this scale… I'm not sure how much longer I can… hold it back…" Elendir broke out in sweat despite the cold weather.

"Tell us what to do. How can we help?!" I asked.

"Lend me your magic… I pray you both have enough," she murmured.

Mio and I exchanged glances. We grabbed the staff, adding our magic to Elendir's spell with her as the conduit. The sensation felt strange. Magic slipped through me like water running down my arm. Was this what people experienced when I drained them?

I turned to Mio, who was solely focused on giving as much magic over as possible. I did the same. If I went sex-crazed from being starved of sexual energy, then so be it. As long as I could save everyone—

The avalanche was slowing. We were doing it. However, despite all the magic Mio and I gave to Elendir, it was as though the avalanche continued to push against us. When I glanced down, we had been pushed several feet back from where we stood seconds ago.

"I can't… I'm fucking pooped…" Mio released her grip on the staff first and collapsed on the snow.

"Saeko, Mio… You two can still escape. Grab Erma and Kana, too… Let me hold this off, and you get out of here. You both have given this old woman the happiest days of her life. And now, I'll return the favor," the elven matron said.

"As if, Elly… It just so happens… I got a little bit more magic left… I'll have to drain later to make it back up…" She grabbed the staff from the ground.

"Mio's right. We're not going anywhere. All of us are getting out of this alive. Snowball's back home. You're not going to leave him, are you?" I reminded her.

Elendir chuckled. She steeled her resolve, facing the avalanche head on. The three of us squeezed the staff so hard, our knuckles turned white. And as the sweat dripped down our faces, the wall of snow stopped at last.

Mio was already on the ground, but Elendir and I dropped to our knees out of exhaustion. I think I'd spent all my sexual energy. The magical barrier dissipated, leaving behind a crescent snow wall where it had been stopped at. Kana and Erma raced out of the inn and grinded to a halt at the sight of it.

Their jaws hung agape.

"Holy shit…" Kana gasped.

"Are you three alright? Do you need medical attention?" Erma rushed up to try and help me up, but it wasn't happening.

"I think… I just need a lot of sex…" I grumbled.

They helped us back to the inn, where a round of cheers and applause assailed us in the lounge. Even the old couple from earlier were there, and the old man nodded at me. All I could think of, however, was riding Kana's dick until it fell off.
