A collective gasp of terror ripped through Christopher and his beasts as the horrifying memories flooded their minds, and they all collapsed onto the cave floor, limbs trembling.
The woman, her black eyes holding a depth of ancient knowledge, watched the sweat-drenched Christopher with a faint, knowing smile. She gracefully squatted down before him, her flowing black dress pooling around her.
"Now, tell me, who is your strongest Adversary?" she asked, her voice soft yet commanding.
Christopher, still reeling from the vision, looked up at her, his hazel eyes wide with lingering fear. "What... what manner of beasts were those?"
"So cute..." she murmured, a hint of amusement in her tone.
She stood up and glided back towards the shimmering fountain.
"In your current understanding, what stages of beasts exist above the Divine stage? And what is the highest level of combat strength you know? Also... what is the pinnacle of strength a Tamer can achieve?"
