Kaizer felt his feet move in a certain direction. His steps were steady as well as quite hesitant while walking. How could he not be hesitant and nervous when he was gazing at the one he loved just at the end of his sight? Only her golden locks loosely sprawled across her dainty back came to his view and he felt quite fortunate by it because if she turned around to meet his eyes, that would be the end for him. Those serene blue eyes of hers were so beautiful that they could make him freeze in his place. He wouldn’t be surprised if he died with her gaze alone. That was the hold she had on him.

And oddly enough, Kaizer didn’t hate this feeling. He was all right with whatever as long as his bunny did it. With that thought, a smile perked up on his face as he resumed following the golden bunny he was lucky to find. Kaizer could not wait to capture this bunny completely and cage her up in his heart. But for now, he stopped in his tracks when he saw his beloved do the same.

After discussing the matter regarding tonight’s banquet, Lyra with her entourage of females and Elder males strode toward the forest inside the snake tribe to look for herbs that could help them in cooking. And right now, Kaizer saw her doing just that until her steps stopped in front of a large tree.

To be exact, Lyra was gazing up at the lone fruit dangling from a snow-filled branch. Fruits in this cold season were a rare sight so seeing one surprised her. In the next instant, she tried to reach the fruit with her hands to only fail due to her small height. The small wooden stick she picked up from the ground didn’t help much either and she once again failed making her frown. Lyra thought of asking for someone’s help and glanced around to only still her eyes on the familiar figure standing just a few meters away from her.

Dark purple hair that could be mistaken for black if not seen properly and glowing amethyst eyes. Lyra observed as Kaizer flinched in his place as soon as her eyes fell on him. Once again, she stopped herself from laughing out loud seeing his anxious demeanor. It was very entertaining teasing him like this and Lyra didn’t know what hit her the next second because she wanted to see him even more nervous and riled up. She wanted to take her petty revenge on him for scaring her back in the rose castle. And before she could think more, her lips moved on its own as she asked, "Aren’t you going to help me?"

Kaizer was confused and before he could inquire more, she pointed her finger toward the fruit tree, "That.....aren’t you going to help get that?"

"Offcourse," he said snapping out of his haze and walking towards Lyra. He was about to reach his hands and pluck the fruit hanging from the branch until he once again heard a voice that made him stop, "Help me up and I will pluck it myself"

Kaizer felt like he had heard something wrong. His widened eyes filled with surprise fell on his bunny. She was eagerly looking at him as she repeated, "Hurry...pick me up"

And what ensued next was akin to a dream for Kaizer. He dazedly moved towards his beloved and propped his arms outward before lifting her from the ground. His arms supported her bottom while she had one of her hands surrounding Kaizer’s wide shoulders and the other one stretched up toward the branch.

Lyra deliberately took her time plucking the fruit and instead glanced down at the one who was holding her.

Kaizer had a hard time keeping his calm. As soon as he picked Lyra up, her sweet scent assaulted his nostrils making him delirious. Then her soft body meshed against his did nothing to help him. He wished that he would remain like this for an eternity. With her like this in his arms was making him even crazier. He could have easily plucked the fruit himself but her request made him hesitant. The thought of having a chance to touch her thrilled him like no other. He felt like he would be a fool if he lost a chance like this.

Whereas, Lyra on the other hand felt a little regretful for doing this. She was just trying to tease him a little but seeing him so uncomfortable made her uncomfortable in return. Kaizer looked like the same clumsy beastman she had met in the past and that made her even more guiltier. Hence to not make him even more troubled, she quickly plucked the fruit before tapping on his shoulder, "You can put me down now"
