Chapter 230: Easy guy
"I asked the kitchen to prepare food according to your preference, I hope you like it," The scorpion kind said as he enthusiastically pointed at the table filled with delicious food.
But the one who received that question stayed silent. Lyra was too lost to focus on other things because she was thinking about something else. Those words from Demir’s mother kept on ringing inside her mind. ’What will you do if one of your mates kills your other mates?’
What should she do if something like that indeed takes place? She didn’t know. Lyra really didn’t know what she would do. She just wished for that to never happen. But then again, she could now somewhat understand the scorpion queen. The latter must have felt heartbroken when she lost her mates and worst, she also had to mate with the person who killed them. It was understandable for such a person to develop a trauma.
"Sunshine.....Sun....sunshine?" she came out of her daze when she heard a familiar voice calling her.
Demir was looking at her with a worry-filled face, "What’s wrong? Why are you not eating anything?"
"Is the food not to your liking?" she heard another voice and turned to find the scorpion king looking at her with a frown on his face. Lyra couldn’t help and recall the scorpion queen’s words as soon as she saw the king. She suddenly felt awkward facing the latter.
The food in front of her looked delicious but she had no appetite right now. So she had no choice and turned to her mate, "I don’t feel like eating right now" Then she looked at the scorpion king and added, "I’m sorry"
With that, she left the dining room leaving the son and father duo alone.
The scorpion king looked at her retreating back in confusion meanwhile, Demir’s face turned grim. He glanced at his father and parted his lips, "Your mate met her" The king’s eyes widened in disbelief as his son added, "That woman babbled nonsense in front of my mate"
