Chapter 196: His pretty female
Lyra looked around the fox tribe in awe. The only coronation banquet that she had attended was Kyrell’s. And as that day ended up with her being kidnapped by the host himself, it was very memorable but in a bad way.
Honestly, that day still scared her. The helplessness that she felt then still unnerved her. She was alright because it was Kyrell but what if it was someone else? She didn’t even want to think about the other scenario.
She shook her head trying to forget that day and returned her attention to the decorations done by the fox tribe. She could guess that the fox tribe must have gone all out preparing for their new king’s coronation. The entire tribe was brimming with liveliness. Some Fox beastmen were arranging the bonfires and food for the guests while others were busy guarding the premise.
As she continued to scrutinize the surroundings, her eyes came to halt on a familiar figure. A beautiful woman was standing on the plaza and it looked like she was instructing some beastmen with work. Lyra recognized that woman. She was the only princess of the fox tribe and prince Xavier’s sister.
Lyra did not have any impression of the other woman but only recalled her mocking smile during the first banquet that she attended. At that time, she was still new in the beast city and cried because the black wolf tribe’s princess mocked her background. That woman said something like how Lyra is some wild female who must have been tossed away by her parents before Lucas found her.
Remembering those words now, Lyra felt ashamed of her behavior. she was such a crybaby. She let those harsh words hurt her and didn’t refute Elena back.
And the reason for that was because she still missed her parents from her old world at that time. But now it was bearable. With her mates and children by her side, the pain seemed to have eased.
Coming back, She once again looked at Lexi, and this time the former too glanced at her. No...it was more like a glared at her. The princess was glaring at her with so much hostility. Her red foxy eyes were filled with hate and disdain. It was a piercing gaze that seemed to want to kill the one at the receiving end.
Lyra didn’t understand what she had done to receive so much hate. In the first place, she had never even talked to the former.
