Chapter 191: I will attend
When Noah informed about the Fox tribe’s coronation banquet, all of their reaction was similar to Lucas’. Even he did not like his mate going out. Not when there was still a crisis going on with stray beasts inside the city.
For now, they had everything in control and did not see any stray beasts roaming around the city but one could never guess. Worse could occur when least expected and that could end very badly.
They were not ready to take a chance in this matter. And the biggest reason for their stubbornness was because of a certain wretched merman. When Kyrell informed about Gregory staying inside the black wolf tribe, they were convinced that the crisis going on now was definitely because of him. The sudden death of King Alexander of the Black wolf tribe and Princess Elena’s dumb decision of letting those stray beasts inside her tribe couldn’t be coincidental. Someone must be pulling the strings behind her back and Gregory was the very good candidate that can do it. He is manipulative and gets away with most things, so the death of King Alexander must have been a good opportunity for him.
’’It is risky out there’’ Killian said with a frown etched on his face, ’’It would be our foolishness if we still let her out’’

After hearing Noah’s words, the first thing that came to his mind was to keep this matter secret from his mate but it seemed impossible now because he also learned that their mate already knew about it and was not happy with not telling her sooner. He also heard about her fight with Lucas but that didn’t matter anymore because the entire house reeked of the scent of their lovemaking. He had not touched his mate for a long time and that wolf getting lucky was no less than torture.
On the other side, Victor’s face was grim with displeasure and he kept on clenching and unclenching his fists trying to keep his calm. His senses were not that sharp compared to others but that did not stop the sweet scent of his mate mixed with that bloody wolf from reaching his nose. And he had to admit that it was testing his patience but the conversation about the Fox tribe’s banquet, sobered him up. He didn’t know what others would decide in the end, but he would never let his mate out of the house.
Kyrell who was observing all of them in silence finally decided to state his opinion. It was actually a question that was bothering him, ’’What about Lyra?’’ everyone turned to look at him as he continued, ’’What if she wants to go? We cannot decide everything for her, can we?’’
Blake got lost in thought hearing his words. The eagle beastman was right. Knowing his mate, she would definitely try to fulfill her duties no matter what they are. Until now, none of them informed her about the queen’s duties to not burden her but now it was all in open. She learned the truth and was upset with them.
If asked, he wanted her to continue staying like this without any responsibilities. He was more than enough to take care of the snake tribe together with Peter but he also did not want to take his mate’s rights away from her. She was important to him and that made her important to all of his tribe.
