"You don’t know?" Blake’s question brought Darcio out of his endeavor.
The old sage looked up at him and grimly shook his head, "I’m not able to discern anything, your majesty"
Noah’s hopeful gaze too flattered for a moment but he soon relaxed and get up from the bed, "I should go and check once with the witch masters from my tribe"
This was the only solution he could come up with after hearing Darcio’s negative response. Noah just hoped that his tribe’s witch masters were successful in developing the antidote.
Blake nodded in approval, "Then I will go and bring Demir. Maybe he has found out something"
After their departure, only Darcio and Xavier were remaining inside the room.
Xavier didn’t know what to do and tried to concentrate on controlling his powers inside the cubs. Whereas, Darcio’s wariness increased with only them being inside the enclosed space.
One that was helping the cubs right now was Xavier but Darcio didn’t know why he felt uncomfortable with that fact. Maybe it was due to the vision he had, Darcio didn’t like Xavier near the cubs.
And as for Xavier, his senses could discern the hostile gaze directed at him but he decided to not pay any attention to it. The one staring at him was not someone that could harm him. In Xavier’s eyes, the old stranger was just like an annoying fly. Xavier was not the one to hold prejudice against others before knowing them but it can not be the same with others.
’Well you are doing the very same thing with that pretty female’ his conscience mocked him as soon as he finished thinking but Xavier ignored it.
The matter regarding his prejudice against that pretty female had nothing to do with the current situation or so he convinced himself to think like that.
