Chapter 172: Vulture cliff
After flying for an entire night without stopping, Victor finally reached the place that he most dreaded.
’Vulture cliff’ As the name suggests, this is the place where all of the previous vulture kings reside. The catch here is that the entities that resided here were not alive but dead. Yes, the spirits of every vulture king after their demise dwelled here while guarding the ’Spirit wings’
’Spirit wings’ is the treasure of the vulture tribe. It was strengthened by the spirit of powerful vulture kings. In the past, many were eager to get hold of the spirit wings but all of those ambitious beasts are dead.
No one until now knew the powers hidden inside the spirit wings because no one could even reach it in the first place. But Victor knew only one thing. He must get hold of that no matter what. He was not even sure if it could save people’s lives but he wanted to try. He would try his best until his last breath to save those cubs.
Because saving them equaled his mate’s well-being and happiness. The other day when she collapsed, Victor felt his entire world crumble down to the ground. He could never see her like that again in his life.
He flapped his wings and landed on the cliff. A dark cave came into his view and without any hesitancy, he drifted inside it. There was no time for him to waste at this moment. If he was right then the prince of the fox tribe must have frozen the poison inside the cubs’ bodies and stopped it from reaching their hearts for the time being. But that would not last long.
Those cubs are still young and wouldn’t be able to contain so much ice power in their little bodies. In the worst-case scenario, they could freeze to death if the power stays for a long time. So they had minimal options as of now. Getting an antidote might help but Victor was not sure about that anymore. He knew that Kyrell went to seek the antidote from Gregory.
But would Gregory readily hand over the antidote to him? Victor doubted it. Even if Kyrell did manage to beat it out of him, then that merman could once again trick them by giving incorrect or incomplete antidote like last time. Worst, he could give poison in the place of antidote and none of them would be able to do anything because they are the desperate ones here.
That vile merman will have all of them in his mercy while they would have no choice but to follow all of his pathetic orders without a hitch.
