Chapter 149: Inquiry
FOX TRIBE
Jacob jolted from his place when he heard an earth-shattering sound of debris falling from the entrance of his castle.
He furrowed his brows while looking at the entrance. Then he glanced at the guard beastmen around him, "What is going on?"
They too looked troubled and confused not knowing about the happenings outside the fox castle.
"We don’t know your majesty" they answered meekly making Jacob irritated.
"Then why are you standing here while doing nothing!? Get out and find out what is happening!"
The guard cowered in his place due to the king’s thundering voice. He gave a curt nod and started to walk out until he heard an eerily cold voice coming from the door, "That is not necessary" Jacob looked at the blue-haired intruder with confusion but Kaizer just smiled and continued, "Your tribesmen seemed to have trouble opening the castle gates when I asked politely. So I just helped them by breaking it"
Jacob sensed the disposition of a higher-level beastman as soon Kaizer entered the hall and looked at him warily, "Who are you? How dare you barge inside..." He stopped talking when the stranger threw something in front of him.
It was the same wild tiger tooth chain worn by the fox tribe’s witch master but it was covered with...fresh blood.
Jacob looked up at the stranger with terror and disbelief, "You...What did you do to him?"
"I killed him" Killian replied nonchalantly. He wanted to drop all these pretenses and get his answers as soon as possible.
